KH, that's what I thought, you are just messing about. Actually, it was in your country's best interest... any form of warfare on the US would be as equally disastrous for Canada, then and now. Whether it's nuclear, biological, etc etc etc. Back when the USSR was the great threat, it was especially true then. We were just as happy letting you try to shoot down all those potentional Bears flying through your air space, and dropping a few hot rocks on you. You guys would help clear out a few and be a target for us, so that was less for us to worry about.

And yes, Canada does depend on the US that much. And the US depends on Canada that much. It's a mutually benefitial relationship. Canada is the biggest investor and business partner with the US. And the US is the biggest investor and business partner with Canada. Surprise surprise...

Dejon, the reason we go off on that direction is for the same reason that citizens of the world have compared their militaries since the beginning of history... because military strength for nations are a status symbol, showing off how rich they are. Like owning a luxury sports car or a yatch.

You ever heard of "McGill Français"? They wanted to switch McGill over to all-French school in the span of 3 years in the 1960s.

Damn straight. I'm sick of all the English in Montreal. We should shoot shopowners who use English.

It is no biggie. I'm just a bit crankier then usual, so I bite on more trolls and am tossing out more then normal trolls.

I rather like how the US and Canada get along. We are the loud, brash sibling. You are the well mannered and cultured. There are times for being loud and brash, and times for being well mannered and cultured. Seems like a good partnership to me. You slow us down, keeping us from always just rushing on in. We drag you along into our adventures, helping give you reason to out and about. Of course, that's probably just how it is in the Darkstar Universe, I suppose.

Yep. It really is, GP. Although they are Americans. Just not citizens of the USoA.

Interesting link, Kitty. Not only have you betrayed your noble mother's blood but also the socialist cause. "English is the language of capital, French the language of the working man."

Was that an English teacher you once had, or and English teacher you once 'had'?

Well, see... If we got more, then they and Quebec would commence to scrap over who were more pure, so to speak. Then they would be kept busy, and the rest of us could get on with running the country.

You might think of these things. What better way to distract the French than to bring in some who think they are better French than the French?

See, you need to distract them.

Sort of like 1870, or 19... what ever year you wanna pick.
