Alan Smith’s sending-off was harsh, though.

I mean, all he did was kick Andy Legg, then, two minutes later, try to rip Legg’s shirt off before elbowing him in the face. That’s nothing!

In other news: Man Utd stage another remarkable comeback, Derby knocked out by Bristol Rovers.

...but any set of fans that still sell (and therefore buy) hats with Munich '58 emblazoned on them are pure scum. No-one else would ever sink that low...

Three? McMaster (elegible for England), Kewell, Viduka, and Candsell-Sherriff are at least four I know of.

Heh, I was thinking Kewell, Viduka and Jacob Burns. Never heard of McMaster and Cansdell-Sherriff...

I dunno, a mate of mine lived in England for three years - he's a Spurs supporter, and he came back singing a song that went something like (and I probably got a lot of it wrong, but you get the idea):
Who's that dying on the runway?
Who's that dying on the field?
Yes it's Busby and his boys,
Making all the *bleeping* noise,
Cos they couldn't get the *bleeping* plane to go.

I don't think Leeds hold a monopoly on shit like that.

Greg... never heard of any other set of supporters do things like that. Rather odd for a Spurs fan, there's not really any animosity between Spurs and United other than the general loathing because United are the best team...

Burns is a defender I think. He's been injured for a while now. Also wouldn't surprise me if Cam-Sheriff is eligible for England too - Leeds like stealing, er, signing them...

As for the song, no idea where he picked it up, but he heard it over there somewhere. May have been from a Leeds game, or perhaps a Man City fan, dunno...

I know I was skeptical about signing Van Nistelroy but damn if he ain't the best signing since Cantona.

Yeah, I believe you did. Bastard. Of course he's one twisted knee away from never playing again but I do love the goals.

So you just wasted this impressive streak. Shame on you for being right about Van Nistelroy!

Yes, van Nistelrooy is good, almost as good as Henry IMHO (I think Henry, along with Rivaldo, is one of the greatest things to happen to football since Maradona), but Veron! He and Beckham were so good at the start of the season, but are just crap now.

I tried to get tickets for the Villa match, but they were all sold out. Phil Neville’s own goal would have been worth the ticket price alone .

Hopefully Coventry will beat Spurs, then I can go see Bolton in the fourth round.

Hmm, I must write ManU's chances off more often, ever since I did they have climbed from 11th to 2nd.

Glory, glory Man United!
Glory, glory Man United!
Glory, glory Man United!
Those reds go marching on, On, ON!

As for Superbecks - he's not out of form, he just can't get a danged start, think he pissed Fergie off or sumfin.

This explains why Beckham, in the last calendar year, has only really played well at the start of this season?
