man question

Men complain all the time about not being able to figure out women, but its the same thing for women. I cant understand what the deal is. For instance if i say 'i'll talk to you tomorrow' then i literally mean the following day, not next time i happen to run into ya. If i say I'll be back in a couple days that mean 2, not 5. Are all men this way with time? its just really aggrivates me. I say what i mean in and if i say 3 hours i mean 3 hours not 4 and a half. SO, why is it that men cant seem to get the time thing right? Does it mean anything? Or is it just how they are?

The typical male, will, in my opinion try to not "call on" the female too too often, so as to not make him look like a desperate horndog…

I just don't call people because I'm lazy. It has nothing to do with looking desperate.

Darlin, men are lazier than women. That's why most great inventors were men.

And when I say "I'll talk to you tomorrow" you should always hear the addendum "unless I'm drunk/having sex/too tired to bother". I don't know about other men, but that should be taken as a given with me...

If he says he'll be back in 3 hours then comes back after 4 and a half, just be grateful he came back at all. Same with calling.

hope this helps

I am punctual, and fairly precises and accurate with time estimates. ....and unlike my wife, when I say next Friday, I mean the 1rst Friday, not the 2nd Friday.

unix just gets scarier.

Darlin, I generally mean any time I say (tomorrow = tomorrow, say) but occasionally it can slip a little. I think it seems to be an agreed guy thing that other interesting diversions or events can occur and initial plans get forgotten. No plan is so set in stone that it actually needs to be followed as writen down.

It's a primal thing. What we mean is "I will speak to you again- but first I must hunt mammoth."

Believe me, those hairy buggers are hard to track down these days, hence the delay.

Actually, if I'm honest in my recollection of my youth, the reason why I'd wait until bumping into the lady in question before speaking to them again would be because I'd forgotten what their name was. That's no claim of Casanova status- I'm just useless at names.

I try never to say "talk to you tomorrow" unless I know it's someone I'm going to see tomorrow, and know that I'll remember to talk to them. Cos I know that while right now I may very well mean to talk to you tomorrow, if I don't see you, I will forget, and end up calling you in two weeks or something.

Heh, it's a wonder I ever managed to get married.

Fact is Darlin, men cannot do two things at the same time, unless one involves beer. And 95-100% of the time we're thinking about sex, so we're physically incapable of doing things like remembering to call people. As someone suggested, it's genetic.

Trying to come up with a theory that embraces the desires and whims of 3 billion people is Not Going To Work.

I suspect that's where a lot of women go wrong. Assuming that men are somehow simpler and might have similar reactions to similar situations. That it's possible to understand 'Men' as an overall group.

Guys generally learn quickly that you can't even depend on that kind of theory for a specific woman, let alone all of them...

When a woman says she doesn't understand why a man does what he does, it is more likely that she understands just fine...but doesn't like the result.

If a time is fixed I'd say men are more punctual than women. A fluffy concept like "tomorrow" can mean anything though. It's got too few numbers in.

Oh and don't mind GP. He's half-austrian and thereby a born amateur psychiatrist.

It's simple, Darlin. Some people just don't care enough to remember, and sometimes people get busy with doing things that take up their attention longer then they think.

If I say I'll call someone tomorrow, I will unless I am just saying it to blow them off, politely. It's rare for me, but it does happen when people are being all polite to people they don't like.

It's a person thing, not a sex thing. I know plenty of gals who say 'tomorrow', and mean 'the next time I have a full thought in my head'. or 'the next time I need something from you', or whatever.
