Regime change?

I know Bush keeps calling for regime change in Iraq for various reasons.
I hereby call for regime change in the US for exactly the same reasons. I struggle to see the difference between the two leaders policies at the moment.

A chance will arise 2 years from now. Wait for it.

If you want to continue to appease Saddam be my guest, it worked so well in 1939.

Once they go nuclear as well I'm sure there will be a few million people who might disagree with you.

Bring it on Euroboy, invade the USofA. We'll see whose left standing.

England couldn't invade anybody without our help, so unless we're helping you to invade us, just sit on your island and think fondly of the days when Germany and Japan took everything from you. Or you giving them Europe.

Well I don't think the Saudis are going to let the US invade Iraq from their territories, especially not now there's a 500 Billion Dollar law suit been filed against the entire Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 9-11 events.

If only the USA would start a massive project for alternative energy. Free the western world of the dependency on arabian oil.

Like I said, I feel environmental today. Emphasis on mental.

Which is why they're not all dead yet.

But hey, maybe we should just take Saudi Arabia and give it to England. I'm sure they'll find the proper owner for it.

Yeah, we'd probably give it to the Chinese...

If the "West" had invested as much money in renewable energy in the last 50 years as we have in nuclear technology, we'd be totally free of oil dependence by now.

The US isn't happy with Saudi Arabia because of what Venom said exactly. Yet, the Saudi's are our best ally in the Middle East. If Saddam is ousted and replaced with a US friendly regime, it will turn the tide of the Saudi alliance. The US won't be as friendly anymore. Irregardless of oil, where we have been acquiring other sources previously unavailable sources.

Actual there are a lot of efforts going toward this. The new hybrid cars are a good example. They use fuel to power the batteries that run the car. Thus, the get outstanding gas mileage. Not sure about the horsepower though. But it is a step in the right direction. With dwindling oil resources many companies are planning their future in an oilless world.

Yeah, the US is heavily drawing on Nigerian oil now, another not-exactly-pleasant-and-stable regime-led country...

I just think if the US wants to bomb Sadaam, they should bomb Sharon at the same time.

The "efforts" are extremely small-scale in all honesty. There is nothing like the multi-multi-mulit-billions of money that has been poured in to nuclear tech and propping up dictators to guarantee oil supplies in the last half century.

If the UK government had, for example, spent the same on developing wave-power than we have on our paultry 6 nuclear power stations, we could generate our entire countrys need of electricity from them. Just seems a little crazy to me.

I'd say he was. The main reason for the wholescale upsurge in violence in these so-called "Axis-of-evil" countries in the past 3 or 4 years is directly linked to the dramatic change in Israeli policy and the hardline Israel violence since Sharon came in to power, a man who is wholeheartedly supported by Mr Bush.

If the Israel/Palestine struggle were sorted out just a little bit to the satisfaction of both sides, it would help prevent a hell of a lot of the extremist arab terrorism that we've been seeing.

Also I think the "West" has a hell of a lot of responsibility for the Israel situation in the first place as it was our fault that Israel was set up the way it was after the 2nd World War.

radical palestinians don't want peace. There have been so many times when they were this close to an agreement, just to have it torn by another wave of suicide bombers.

I don't get why the Brits are so proud of being a US-cronie, I suppose its more profitable then being a small island with no power at all (respect for ex-emperial-powers alone don't feed the bull-dog I guess) I now think we do need a European Union after all though, there has to be some kind of economic/political force powerful enough to counter the US and its unchallenged reign of terror.

As for Saddam- Bush is an oil man, that's the only reason he's being built up for a takeover, if Americans want to buy into their governments propaganda then so be it, it's their government after all.

Saddam himself is no worse then any of the US's various other allies and champions of democracy as far as bio/chemical weapons and twiddly-moustached capacity for evil is concerned so those of us who think for ourselves know this Axis-of-Evil stuff is all just "reason-manufacture". For such a user and proponent of nasty weapons any one would think the US wasn't into using chemical or bio-weapons, anyone would think the US thinks such weapons are wrong and have no place in world affairs! hahahaha, what a ridiculous idea.
