I really wanted to watch it as I thoroughly enjoy the book (pop up version obviously). Unfortunately I am too poor to afford the channel it was on.

I hadn't heard of this. Then again, if it doesn't have a horrid plot and really tacky CGI effects, it doesn't usually make my radar.

Watched the first two episodes (three really, as the first was a double ep) back to back...

Really enjoyed it, but lots of poetic licence being liberally sprinkled already - like some massive papering over of events or out and out glaring inaccuracies - like Henry I dying and Stephen being made king apparently in 1138 instead of 1135!!!
