Daniel Johnston

Any fans here? I first heard him over 20 years ago, and I love his work so much it's almost obscene.

yep got into him via the devil and daniel johnston film, thanks to the gf, and think he's pretty brilliant

we went to see him in concert a couple of years ago and i have one the ubiquitous 'hi how are you?' t-shirts. we also went to see an exhibit of some of his typically naive/deranged artwork at a gallery in london last year and were very close to spunking a few hundred quid on an original

i think 'held the hand' is my favourite song. amazing.

Yeah. Brilliant and fascinating guy. Came to my attention through the documentary also. I have most albums I think.

I've only got More Songs of Pain and a handful of random MP3, but I also think he's pretty great. You Put My Love Out The Door is probably my favourite track, but it's been a while since I listened to him. Will remedy this.
