That was horrible. It scarred me so badly I was afraid to click on the Pete and the Pirates video.

The tow company is really annoying to deal with. They aclled me in to get my car on a sunday, then tried to charge me an extra 50$. I told them I didn't need to pay that much, then they told me to leave...

Apparently I couldn't stop them from leaving due to it not being their 'normal' hours and couldn't make them give me back my car.

I ended up coming and getting it the next day (which cost me an extra 50$).

They also didn't take my credit card, despite them by law being required to take it. I was tired, so just went and got cash.

I was going to write a letter to complain, but got lazy.

if they accept credit cards, and refuse to take yours, call the credit card company from right there in the office - the credit card company will tow them into line

the $50 cash likely went into someone's pocket

you could try calling the local news station too and see if their consumer reporter person wants a piece of them

Or letter to the local paper if they have a consumer page.

I once got my car from a tow guy for all the cash on me. Don't remember how much, but it wasn't a lot because it was like 2am. They can be jerks, good for these guys.

Those fat cops really had nothing better to do.

I was with a friend that caught the guy before he hooked the tow up and offered him 20 bucks and a promise to move the car if he would go away. It worked! was was

They wouldn't take them in general, there wasn't anything special about mine.

I was going to send a letter to the better business bureau, but got lazy.

I caught the guy when he was going to tow me once.

I asked him what in the world he was doing, I was in a parking lot for the business and was doing business at that business... he grumbled and unhooked me.

I can't prove it, but I am suspicious that the guy who towed me was just driving around looking for people to tow as well... I think this isn't legal in MD? I think they are only suppose to come if someone calls them that someone needs towed.

Basically, I was parked in my friends apartment complex, and was towed. The day before I had got a ticket for my expired plates too... I was already intending to go get it taken care of on Monday. I thought that I would not get a ticket with my friends, but I got towed instead .
