The man driving the Ubuntu project, Mark Shuttleworth, shot to global prominence as one of the world's first space tourists, when he flew to the International Space Station on board a Soyuz rocket.

Now, that's odd.

Maybe there's a Soyuzworth somewhere.

Kubuntu is nice because it's like Ubuntu, only bluer. It's also the easiest distro I remember trying. It was able to run every bit of hardware I normally use, even the ones that need proprietary drivers. I haven't switched yet because my current distro isn't stale yet. Anyway, good on Dell for making Ubuntu an option.
