Lord of the Rings Online

This is on my list to try. Despite the fact that radical changes and redevelopes are a bad thing, and have happened 3-4 things for Lord of the Rings Online (I think it has been in the works for four years or more now).

I know Lurker is interested in it, what information have people heard? I use to visit the site.. but haven't recently.

Others on my list to try are Vanguard and Warhammer.

I have not heard anythign good about LOTRO since the last major complete rework of the entire game design.

Thats been a few months though, so who knows?

WHO looks cool, but I am confident that GW will fuck it up somehow.

Remember, anyone who purchased the CGM issue and registerd the vanguard beta code should have gotten their invite by the end of this week. So I know there are a couple people on CG who cannot say much about the game or won't be able to in the next 24 hours.

Then again, maybe CG will get the guild invite and we can start disscussing things freely as a guild in guildchat or on the beta boards...

I am sure I would have an assload to say about Bards and Diplomacy.

I think I'm getting SWG Deja Vu thinking about LOTRO.

Edit: The only good game I ever played based on a movie that I can remember right now is the Godfather game released earlier this year.

Yeah, that is my worry about LOTRO also.

I will still probably try it, but I am worried.

I have difficulty predicting how long I will be interested in a game. That being the case, what I can say is the following:

What I am playing most right now: WoW
What I am playing some right now: EVE
What I am going to install and try: Half-Lifes 1 & 2 and Counterstrike: Source
What I also enjoy playing: Dance Dance Revolution and Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando

How does this relate to LOTRO? I am afraid there is little I can say about that one since I haven't looked at it at all. I may go have a look and come back with more on-topic statements.

Hypothetically, someone could have gotten a beta invitation recently (as in 5 minutes ago) for this game.

Factually, I can't believe that someone would get invited to investigate the flaws in anything.

Hypothetically, it makes sense that they would want to know if computer illiterates have problems with this game, but I don't see how they can expect to receive meaningful feedback from such a hypothetical player.

Hypothetically that is cool. I don't think I am the betaing type, but before it goes live I would like the hypothetical persons hypothetical opinion on it.

Grats to that hypothetical person.

Hopefully a game with a huge name recognition that has been plagued with problems in development and is generating pretty much 0 buzz will turn out to be a fun game.
