I`m not running about anywhere, you could have bought alot more car for your money, my car does 0-60 in high 5`s low 6`s dependent on the road conditions, it produces 200bhp as standard and it`s driven by the correct pair of wheels.

I was talking about mazda as a company are all about image the MX-5 is possibly the biggest hairdressers car there has ever been, you talk about performance and go out and buy from one of the least perfomance orientated manufacturers from the far east, nice way to blow a lot of money.

The Mazda 3 is performance oriented, WTF are you on? You're clearly totally incompetent in every field, if this is your strong suit.

Name me another car I could've got for the same price of less that's faster.

And why are you so hesitant to tell me what car YOU drive?

$27,000 CDN, tax & freight included, driveaway price.

160hp variable valve timing engine
4-wheel disc brakes (300mm) w/ ABS & EBD
Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter
6-CD in-dash change
6-speaker premium stereo
Steering wheel-mounted stereo controls and cuirse controls
Fog lamps
Xenon headlights
17" alloy wheels
Rain-sensing wipers
Air conditioning
Auto headlights
Power moonroof
Good cargo space (31.2 cubic feet -- important)

So what is a better deal then that for a comparable amount of money, then?

Sorry i didn`t realise we were talking about such an insignificant amount of money, only now have i realised 35,000 canadian dollars is about 16K sterling, so really your in the focus 170 bracket.

Your data on the 0-60 is a bit far of the mark young man, spec`s are 9.1 seconds, although i`m sure 1.5 seconds makes no difference when your driving a car for posing in.

There is no performance orientated car in the world that has ever been or ever will be fwd, even the mighty GM screwed that one up, performance comes in 2 flavours rear wheel drive or all wheel drive, it`s all a question of weight transfer and physics.

Another car you could have got for the same price faster, can`t say having never been to canada and looked around your dealerships, although i would hazard a guess at perhaps an impreza 2litre turbo, Toyota Celica 190 vvti, Mitsubish Galant VR4 three off the top of my head, although like i said i don`t know the car market in canada.

My car is................................................ ....Still faster than yours

11 grand is small family hatchback in this country, so it would be impossible for me to make an educated suggestion on a better car.

Your basically driving a girlies car, but hey that fits with your image, i would go with it my man.

You do realize that the Focus 170 isn't sold here, right? You do realize that the Euro Focus is ENTIRELY different than the North American Focus, right? Surely such a car guru would know such basic things.

Erm...your figures are for the crappy Euro versions. Surely a car guru understands the 1.6L or 2.0L engine you're quoting is a bit slower than a brand new 2.3L, right?

Why don't you just admit you know jack shit about cars over here, admit defeat, and move on?

So there you go, you just proved yourself wrong. You said I could get a much better car for my money, and you just ate your words.

Suck it, you were pwn3d by a computer geek in a car discussion. How painful.

Firstly don`t be such a cock, secondly the 9.1 0-60 time is quoted for the 2.3 mazda 3 as sold in continental us and canada not in europe.

Links are good http://www.auto123.com/en/new/carinf...ar=2004&lng=en

0-100kmh 9.0 seconds, so the extra 2.5 mph takes a whopping 1.5 seconds to get too, if your stats are to be believed.

I drive an S14, i`m sure if you do a search on the internet, you will find out what that is.

Ouzo is much better than Pernod. Pernod is some kind of gay ouzo. OK, ouzo is gay per se, but imagine Pernod as a gay ouzo drunk by QWEEGless hampsters.

Oh my mistake i forgot that desirable items on a "performance car" where things like cruise control, steering wheel mounted stereo controls and ebd, oh yes the beloved ebd put on cars for morons who are incapable of driving, a brain in the car which say`s here, your going to fuck it up let me take over.

And which skyline would that be exactly???

Hey moron, the only person who brought "performance car" into this was you.

The 3 is a practical car loaded with features, I took issue at you saying it had "no engine" (which it clearly does). Things like cruise control is handy for me, seeing as I have to drive across the country for 3,000 km with it through nondescript prairies and fields. It's also important to have cargo space, because I need to fit everything I own in it to drive home. Having a great stereo system is handy because I love listenign to music, and I'm picky about quality. 6 CD changer is great because I'm lazy. Fog lights, ABS, and EBD are great because I live in frickin' Canada.

Face it, you got your ass handed to you. You asserted the car had no engine, which it clearly does, and then you started twisting around my argument into a blatant strawman.

You're fucking terrible at this whole debate thing.

Quote:

I never said it did, I posted a question mark after it for a reason.

I'd never heard of an S14 except for a Nissan Sylvia S14, so I posed the question asking for confirmation. Lo and behold your stupidity astounds once again, somehow inferring this meant I was saying the UK had a Sylvia S14...

Absolutely, it is performance oriented. It is not a performance car. Performance cars costs oodles of money and tend to lack basic features I require.

But the design was clearly aimed around making it perform well, which is why it's the fastest in its class, making it performance-oriented while not a "performance car".

I would never buy a "performance car", only morons who get their rocks off pretending to be racecar drivers would.

The difference being, you're the one who acted like you were the man if we talked about cars. I also asked a question to confirm if that was the car you were talking about. You, on the other hand, told me there were better cars I could buy, only then to be proven ridiculously wrong... There's a huge difference.
