You don't get it. "Fuck France" is always and only directed at the french government, whereas "fuck America" is always directed against Americans individually. That's just how those damn frogs are.

Hey if this article was about the French I'd have posted it with a glowing commendation and recommendation that everyone else abuse the french too.

Except all the pretty French girls obviously.

well none of this would be a problem if Bush wasn't president.

It would be nice to have a normal president for a change. One who doesn't start wars (unless very heavily pursuaded by the Europeans to do so) and has sex with interns.

Simpleton, you troll, go home.

You arguments are poor. In America, Communists do LEAD the left. So all Left in America are considered communists or communists mislead dopes when its Left versus Right ideology. The money trails (who pays for what) does back that. Investigations into the groups against Bush here in the States generally (majority of the time) lead back to various Communists political organizations.

Now, the other problem with your arguments (Only Iraq should have taken care of Saddam) is that you are saying: "If a man is beating his family, it's up to his family to toss the man out. NO ONE ELSE NO MATTER WHAT SHOULD HELP!". Sometimes, you have to take action. Maybe it wasn't considered the legal action you were supposed to take, but you got to do what you got to do. Besides, various American administrations had helped prop up Saddam, so the USA taking him down was just taking responsibility for something we did and trying to make it right. You should be shocked and amazed... and bitching at the US for not doing it sooner, and for not getting around to cleaning up all the other nasties we've propped up or put into power with no regard for who the people want or their better interests.

DS, you're a nice guy, but your knowledge of political science stinks. Communism refers to a specific set of ideas, which core are the collectivisation of production means, and class war. A dialectical vision of history means that once capitalism and globalisation become general, the inner contradictions inevitably produces communism. (that's for the theory)

We have a few communists in France (we're a bit old-fashioned), and even Trotskysts (shitloads of them), and believe me, whatever the US left is, it is not 'communist'.

If you use a word refering to something specific in terms of political ideas('communist', 'nazi', 'fascist') you have to get it right.

Howard Dean? Ewww! Well, and Clark. Both of their campaigns are using it. Very funny from General Clark, since it's in the DoD records that he TRIED to start WW3. Seriously. That's why he's on the FBI's permanent "Fuckwit" list, and constantly watched to see what he is doing. If Clark got elected, I expect one of Oswald's cousin would suddenly remove him via a bullet veto.

Maroule, I was using it correctly.

For instance, Little Dear Leader and his party literally contributed over 15 Million (US) to fund professional protest organizers (who are themselves Communist), to show up and protest Bush and Rumsie here in the States recently.

The Communist Party of America itself is highly connected with what is considered the leadership and strategist circle of the Democratic party... And it counts Hilary Clinton as a member, with Bill Clinton a money donating supporter.

The Conservative Media is going to be emphasising that sort of thing over the next year in the States, trying to persuade Democratic sympathizers that their party's leadership (read: Bill and friends) has sold them *and* all Americas out.

It's an old tactic. But traditionally speaking, it seems it is also true. The Communist party has long been Democrat supporters here in the States. Since the late 50's... if the money exchanges actually mean anything other then a marriage of convience that has lasted 50 years in American politics.

It's not that Left Ideology is Communist. It is just party versus party politics here, and what people make of all the bed (money) sharing.

The WW3 thing is an exaggeration, it was a quote from a heated discussion between US Gen. Clarke and UK Gen. Mike Jackson in Kosovo.

Diss, all that I have been able to confirm is that his orders to seize a Russian airport was not his first or last time in directly provoking an armed, direct response from the USSR.

I've read Karl Marx's Communist manifesto and the ideas in there certainly weren't friendly. Too many references to revolutions.

I prefer the kind of Star Trek ideal of communism where there's no money and everyone happily does their job to improve themselves and make the world/galaxy a better place. Can't see it happening though.

Of course, conveniently, all the crap jobs are done for people by computers and robots and magic.

Funko, it isn't. That's downplayed, according to the people I know that were serving under him at the time. I know that at least 2 of them are serious, rather then just being BS on the matter. And there is a lot of things that won't end up in a guy's jacket/record, to keep the DoD from looking worse.

DS, your story about the communists is the same than anti-semitism in China : just imagine Chinese mad with anger because there are too many jews with power/connections/influence in China...

In other words, it smacks of scare mongering, McCarthy style. So when do the trials start? denunciations to make, anyone? what should be done about the 'unpatriotic americans selling their country'?

Hillary Clinton a communist? ROFL
man, you crack me up

You misunderstand, Maroule. No trials. Just the implications. That's not actionable in court, you know.

According to the Clinton's own acknowledged best friend and political strategists... yes, she is. Go figure. Of course, he is no longer Bill's best friend, since Billy tried to kick the shit out of the guy, but hey. Why would one of their friends talk bad about them?

Now, my opinion of the Clintons is they'd be card carrying members of any organisation, so long as they got something in return like a few more millions for their political run, or get another 10K of votes. They don't strike me as people who believe in ideas over reality.

As for the Communist party... considering that America is a simple 2 party system, if you really want to be effective as a party of neither, you have to work with ONE of them. That's the reality of our political landscape. It's like the minor Green parties we have... they all tend to Democratic, as the Demos are slightly less pro-Big Business then the Republican party. But not by much if you look at their RECORDS. Now, in election politics, that means that the Democrat party is all freaky tree huggers as well. But in non-election politics, it means nothing.

Remember... if THIS party is for something, that party is always against it. Simple black and white election rhetoric. You can expect more of such, and it intesifying... All sides are predicting the highest level of dirty politics, cheating, and outright fraud ever seen in the history of American politics. We just might need Cuba to come in and oversee our national elections in 2004 if either major party's predictions proves true.

this is why we need as many demonstrators from as many different backgrounds as possible on Thursday.
George Bush is here, there's no changing that, but at least the rose tinted "alls well in the England colony" view can be challenged.

Here's an interesting one; someone I saw interviewed the other day said that if the american media sees enough anti-americanism from the British protestors, a lot of americans will seriously start to question the foreign policies of George Bush.
A sad example of how only direct action/feeling will have an impact.

Well, that's what they were saying, but if it isn't "the usual suspects" who are protesting in force, even the media machine can't filter that one.

And being consigned to the same bin as the French and Germans? Bring it on, I can't wait.
