Good review. I was never really a fan of trip hop but this album sounds really interesting.

I'm always looking for things on the extremes of music. Then again, I'm one of those people who never really listened to Mezannine because I was put off by their early stuff.

You've got to be white, have an earnestly furrowed brow and (crucially) be in a "proper Rock band with real instruments".
Oh, I forgot. Robert Naja is obviously black, care-free and never uses live instrumentation at all.

It's "Robert Del Naja", Massive are still half-black and used to be mostly black, and I was taking the piss.

If any non-Massive fans were intrigued by the review, hear "Mezzanine" first. While I like "100th Window", it doesn't have the naked menace of it's predecessor.

I've got it on tape if you want to borrow that?? I think it's wank compared to their first two albums though.

I am digging this thread out of the long dead pile because this was the album I was anticipating the most this year. I have listened to it many times and it isn't bad, just not up there with Mezzanine. I used to like their earlier stuff but after Mezzanine it just somehow doesn't sound any good anymore either.

100th window just sounds too white. And I mean that in a pejorative racially prejudiced type of way. Sinbad was great in her early days but she just doesn't push her voice anymore.

I see the "Attack" has been officially re-instated then.
