I noramlly don't do this, but I'm tired of my site always being attacked for no reason.

NONE of the regular CGers were EVER banned form FFZ, NEVER, NOT AT ALL, NOT ONCE.

But I'll be damned if I let DS make us look like jerks cause he's pissed he got booted off staff.

Who is bitch slapping? Roland and I were just having a fun little chat. We could go back to talking about which Bushie is the bigger idiot... I'd have to trust Roland on that, as they are generally presented in good light in the media here.

Although, I'd say it was Ashcroft. He just looks like a gigantic asshat.

CG was open to all, but they had some trouble a while back, and went to Private/Invite only to stop it. One of the FFZ posters could give you the details.

That's what I mean. IIRC, we had a mutual encouragement only to invite people who weren't involved in the stuff at ACOL and weren't likely to start it up here, and otherwise keep it secret. Same idea, but it was a mutual decision among the CG members instead of an enforced policy. As usual.

I don't think it's when, but what.

I think he's referring to FFZ history, which isn't something with which I'm familiar. I barely recall being on a forum that had restricted registration, but that could be suggestion, or even something from back on ACOL.

It might have been when Kitty was making trouble for MtG on FFZ.

Chris has been on my ignore list for quite some time, Sean. I haven't a clue what he's said since before he left, so long ago in CG time. I got tired of his constant picking of fights here and elsewhere.

His fight with Maroule, I understood. I considered that incident to be very nasty and bad action on Maroule's part. However, Maroule has been a decent fellow since then, and everyone that lives long enough to get off their mother's milk makes world class moron and super-cad out of themselves occassionally. Since Maroule has been ok since then, I figure it was just one of those supreme regretable moments on his part. I have enough of them, and other people seem to forgive me for them. Least I can do to pass that along.

But Chris has stayed an ass. He got much worse about that behavior then he used to be. I feel for him, and hope whatever it is that I feel is so stressing him, he gets over or works through. But since I think he only came back here because he was bored over at his regular places (and there has been mention of that in passing by Chris from what I first went and clicked up on when he first started posting here), since he seems to only be here to take offense, I've left him on ignore. When enough people interact with him in a nice matter here, rather then ignore him or make snide comments, then I'll check out his postings and see if the are similar to the older Chris, the one that used to cut up and seem more like slightly less proliferic Venomish poster.

I posted a few times on FFZ back when MBloom was running it as a soccer forum. Nice place, if a little dead. Completely different now, of course. I lurk a bit there when I'm more than usually bored - it just looks like any other forum to me, a few cool people, a few twats, a few good threads, a few shit ones. I don't understand what some people get their panties in a twist about, and frankly I don't want to understand.

FFZ, way back when it was MtG owned and first made, did go invite for a short period. But that wasn't due to the Kitty/MtG thing, IIRC. It was because of the mad rush of juvenile posters that had just discovered they could post with potty mouth, and have the words not be censored. And not get immediately smacked on the back of the head.

A while back, after the CG spin off, FFZ went invite only again. It was supposed to have been temporary, but I don't know if they swapped it back to open. I know they left it closed/invite only longer then originally planned, as they liked how it cut down on the new registers coming in posting how they sucked, America sucked, and Ming sucked soft serve out of Chris's personal chocolate dispenser. Well, that was what I was told when a friend posting there invited me to show back up and try to access FFZ again, registering with an alternate address. When that didn't work, I got a message back on why, but I didn't bother going back since then and trying. It could be open, could be closed. You'd have to ask someone that knows how it is currently.

I think it's similar to the IRA, but using forums as an excuse for being jackasses instead of religion.

I'm incredibly bad at spot the irony. I tend to take people at their word, unless I see some REALLY BIG HONKING CLUE that I shouldn't.

And irony doesn't tend to work well in forum postings. No body language to help communicate it. Makes it very rough on dense sorts like myself.

How can a forum become 'Invite only' if it is already widely known about?? Do you mean that registrations were turned off?

CG has never had a closed registration policy.

Why don't you discuss this somewhere else, nobody here really gives a flying fuck.

Then why did you just ask a question about this thread? Why are people ASKING questions, if noone cares? Apparently, only Nav doesn't care. Learn to use ignore, Nav. And chill. Roland and I were having a conversation. You don't jump in on the other assassine subjects we discuss, no matter where they wander. What's got you so worried about this? Just re-enable Duty Manager, and don't sweat it. Otherwise, close this thread. It's not like anyone here pays any serious attention to ANY of it. But the subject of what happened, why haven't some people returned, and why are others not posting like they used to has come up on occasion. You didn't tell people to go fuck off in those, did you? I don't recall you doing so. So what's the big deal?

Yes, they turned off the open registration. For a period of time in the past, at least twice. Once when MtG owned it, and once afterward. No biggie. If someone wants to know state it is in now, ask/PM Chris or someone else that would know. Or just try it.

It seems Dark star lives in a little fantasy world of his own making, I feel sorry for him.

I have no idea why he wants to knock my site, nor do I care.

I could say some really bad things about his conduct, especially privately, but I'll let it pass.

Frankly, there's been so much pissing in each other mouths over FFZ posters, I've tuned it all out. You could PM Venom. I'm *wildly guessing* that he knows of at least one of the two clubs.
I got invited to one and blew it off, cause I didn't think it would be interesting...

Natural evolution of forums. People go where they feel more comfortable, when they just want to 'kick around'/veg.

Don't have a clue what happened after FFZ suddenly no longer permitted me to access it, as a regular user or admin. You'd need to ask someone with secret double clearance about that. Like Walrus, or Venom. Well, maybe Venom only has secret clearance there? You'd have to ask Chris about that. Last statement I read of his at FFZ, he owned the place, and just snowed MBloom to keep Bloomie paying the bills. For all I know, MBloom sold the place to Chris, or Chris went off and made a new, better forum. Haven't payed any attention to it, other then when my friends there messaged me wondering when I'd come back and straighten out a few people. Strangely, it was shortly after those messages, that the new secret, anti-FFZ clubs got started. No telling what really happened. Maybe some of the floaters could tell you, in PM. They couldn't dare do it in the open, not if they like being able to access FFZ. Unless something has changed radically?
