Oh I've got a date with coffee-house professor girl tonight. She is a comp-sci/math prof (algorithms). Her sister is some sort of Nobel hopeful who does string stuff at Harvard. I've never dated any girls that smart before. Usually I'm with a waitress or secretary or such.

She's pretty cool. And of course the smarts and achievements are a huge attractor. Looks are nice too. A little bit of a cultural disconnect though. She's from a NY intelligensia background, Harvard, etc. For instance, NEVER had a friend who'd served in the military.

There might be a danger of her being overintellectual. But as long as she isn't in sociology or something like that...

You need to start hitting your legs, Jon. Remember all power come from the ass--do squats. (cute girl told me this.) I would not do free weight squats unless you have a good lifiting partner and really know what you are doing. Use that inclined thingie.

today:188, 28:26.

Time not great but the weight is continuing to drop...I'm gaining on you Milla.

When I don't ask women out (or don't ask companies for a job), I get very few dates (or jobs). And what I do get is likely to be less good. (even if I end up with something that is stable.)

Computer girl explained it to me. There's some sort of mapping. She had a cool example with men and woman and dating. Also with matching process that doctors and resident programs use. There is a math insight here. I can go into more detail if you want...

I went to whitetail or something like that (about 2 hours away, maybe a little less) in southern pennsylvania

it is not as nice as Mt Bachelor (whereI went in Oregon), but it is cool

and I just boarded (I skiied a couple years ago, am trying to learn how to board this year)

Cool. My mom skies there. It is really close to DC. Nice place to go on a weekday after a snowfall. You should take advantage for your student ability to go on days when it's now crowded.

I did not ski until college (despite living in the NW)

when I was young events always conspired to keep me from skiing (I was going to go with my dad severeal times), and than after '91 he couldn't take me

I could have gone on my own, but I did not really know what I was missing

so before this year I had only skied in Minnesota (or maybe it was Wiscousin), which is not near as good as Oregon (I hvae only snowboarded in Oregon)

I liked skiing alot, but I really only have the resources to take up one of them (skiing and snowboarding) and my younger brother is really into snowboarding (season pass/owns all his own equipement) and so I am doing that (I think that with the time I can alot to it, it is only worth while for me to do one)

I think I am going to skip the running today (no problem with muscles, just knees from hitting the hard snow/ice (that is one of the things I did not like, but I think it might just be because I went at night))

I don't think I am much able to do that (go on weekdays)

I don't have a car, and myself and my freinds are pretty dedicated to not skipping classes (Also, most of them have TAs)

actually, it was hard to get them to go on a weekend (they did not want to miss the study time)

I actually could have used the weekend also, but I figured it was fine to get a little behind

GP, why were you doing 3.1 runs for a while?

did it (the change from 3) help you get under 26 on your last 3 mile run?

Was up in DC again. The best loop that I've found there is 3.1 miles. I think that it is better for me to run the same exact course so that I know how to push myself more. But the important thing is just to keep active, so I try to run when I'm in DC.

BTW, I'm pretty stoked for sub-26. If I can keep losing weight, that will help too. I can taste a sub-24 (8 minute miles). I just need to stick with it. Seems like it takes longer to get in shape than it used to, when I was younger...but there is still some strength left in these muscles to go along with the piss and vinegar and bluster.

Got to get in shape for the hotties too. Seems like things are cooling off with professor girl. first date was EXTREMELY successful. Second was rather cold. Not sure what her deal is...but maybe she is better off with someone else. Teacher girl in DC still likes me though. And I've done stuff with here little girl and everything. Little girl likes me too. Don't really know what the details with seperated husband are...and that makes me go a little slower. Probably should ask some more gals out. It seems like the key to sales is initiative...

Had a job interview. Went well. They think I'm real smart and such, but are worried about industry experience. Kinda wierd...but think it's 50/50 top get an offer. I know they will try to beat me down in salary so should get some more stuff lined up. It always goes well if I'm just frigging proactive. Have a lead on a consulting gig as well...

Yah, keeping active is important.

I feel like just sitting in all day today, but I should walk in to the gym perhaps (if it is open) an work out tonight

I am pretty bad about getting dates. Good at randomly talking to girls I meet (As in they seem to respond well and I do it), but bad at getting their numbers and the like (basically I don't ask).

Where is the job at? Is it finance or Chemistry related?
