Arnie was a multi-millionare by the time he started acting.

He is one of California's top 10 real estate owners...

When he got here, he got a degree in Economics. Before he left Austria, he got a degree in Marketing.

He went from from broke to multi-millionare in 2 years, investing his winnings from the body building contests...

He's got brains, and he's got drive. Now, neither of those things means squat in politics, but when people are looking for someone with some business savvy, he's a better choice then many they had.

He's supposed to be a fiscal conservative with some socialistic or merely liberal humanics for social programs.

Should prove interesting to see what he and his administration try to do.

Read somewhere that something like 60% or so of all money is tied up in shit he can't change. I know 40% minimum is schools, what is the other 20% of BS they voted for then dumped on the administration?

Mediocre asshat took us from a $12 billion surplus to a $38 billion dollar deficit maybe a self-obsessed egomaniac can get us out of it. Davis kept blaming the dot com bust but that was three to four years ago and he was still increasing spending by 15% per year for each of those years. Over all tax reciepts are up since the dot coms headed south yet Davis pushed spending WAY, WAY up thus the deficit.

And mediocre asshats took you from a $250 billion surplus to a $500 billion dollar deficit.

But the surplus was mostly a function of the bubble economy. And for california, it will be even worse when the real estate bubble pops, Arnie or not.

Realeste isn't really a bubble here. It's a function of our ever growing population and only a limited amount of ocean front land being availible. Prices are still fairly reasonable if you're willing to move inland.

Double digit price increases for years at artificially low interest rates, that's bubble recipe. " a function of our ever growing population and only a limited amount of ocean front land" - just like the nasdaq boom was a function of ever growing new technology and a limited amount of stock available.

Real estate has always been cyclical, but this looks like a pretty big boom-bust cycle.
