Banking Crisis Hits Japan

Although Japan has had its own problems in recent (and not so recent) years but it seemed to have avoided the worst of the current fun and games.

Not true anymore, though:

In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded. Sumo Bank has gone belly up. Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.

Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song, while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived. Samurai Bank is soldiering on following sharp cutbacks. Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.

Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal!

BUT there is some good news amid the gloom, a spokesman for Ichifani Bank Corp confirmed- ''we are up to scratch''

why does everyone think that sushi is raw fish?

Maybe it is, and all the Japanese are wrong?!

Shit, if you go to Japan it's hard to find a place that serves rolls because sushi rolls are an invention of the round eyes. Yet millions of westerners all seem to think sushi rolls = Japanese food.

The same is true for almost all Westernized cultural food. Look at Chinese food. Most of the shit we eat that's Chinese Food is purely Western. Some of the main ingredients, like Broccoli, didn't even exist in China until relatively recently.

But better.

Next time you're in western Canada, try our ginger beef at a Chinese restaurant. It's awesomely unhealthy, but awesomely tasty. No one else seems to do it like that yet, but it is spreading.

Weird. I went to Japan, what, about 8-9 years ago now? And they had Sushi restaurants with the little conveyor belts exactly the same as they have here.

And when the Japanese family we were visiting took us there, it didn't seem like a novelty or anything to them, and in fact they were telling me about which ones were delicacies and so on (mainly cos I picked one, and everyone went silent to see whether I'd like it or not - rare delicacy that one apparently)...

Have you ever been right about anything in your life? Maki sushi is just as traditional as nigiri, you stupid twat. What's not traditional are rolls with cream cheese or avocado in them...

Yeah, really! 96". He really should've picked a reasonable number, like 48".

Look you arrogant shit not all rolls are California rolls and I never claimed that nigiri was the only type of sushi I just used it as an example. It's no wonder you're still banned at poly.

I've been to several restaurants in Japan, not an expert but I do know a bit, and most of the place unless they're big fancy restaurants tend to specialize in just one specific type of food like a udon (noodle) shop or a nigiri shop, etc. Maki is much less common.

BTW it was 48" not 96". Asher is fucking with you.

I lived in Japan for three years, you fucking moron, and I'm telling you that every goddamn sushi shop has rolls. I dare you to find a sushi-ya that doesn't have kappa maki, tekka maki, etc.
