Any Formula One fans out there?

I'm sure I'm pissing in the wind here, but the season starts on Sunday - anyone interested/give a shit?

I'm a massive fan myself

Each season I say to myself that I should quit, but I can't help it

I think I only missed a couple GPs in the last 10 years.
Even if "watching" them actually meant dozing off more often than not

I'm of course a Ferrari fan, but I don't go crazy for the arrogant Schumi despite I know we ow him 80% of the success.
I always root for the losers:
Alesi
Irvine
Barrichello

for instance, this season I'd celebrate if Ruben with the Honda would beat Schumi.
Or if Fisico ends the season ahead of Alonso

Paul was rather keen too, when we had the Fantasy game here couple seasons ago

I think this year Super Aguri will be getting my support - from zero to functioning race car in 4 months! Nice one!

Otherwise I'm intrigued by how Williams will get on - they have a new "seemless shift" gearbox that might keep them up there. Frank Williams - ever the mother of invention in this sport.

Friday practice, both sessions:

Superaguri trails the best (Honda with Davidson, and Schumi) by 6-7 seconds, and the worst (Villeneuve & Albers) by almost 2

They are using a 4 year old car though, 6 to 7 seconds off the pace is what was expected.

Indeed - it is a stop-gap only, with the real car coming in a few races time.

When the wankers Paul Stoddard and Eddie Jordan were running the only two "minnow" teams in F1, it was hard to root for any of the underdogs. Good to see something like SA getting in there.

The race showed some nice overtaking, impressive achievemnts by Rosberg and Raikkonen.

I have many reasons to be disappointed tho...

Yes, yesterday was a good race. Glad to see Toyota way down the grid - I dislike both their drivers and their "throw billions at it and we'll get a great car" approach. Williams are showing them that it takes more than money.
