Old School Friends

This is of lesser interest to some of you younger people, but some of the boring oldies on here might waht to check out www.friendsreunited.co.uk.

I got a call about it from an old mate at school and am now in touch with a load of really good people that I went to school with. It's amazing where one or two have ended up.

I am signed up there but the people I went to school with were either complete twats or I'm still in contact with them.

Out of our Primary School only about three people have signed up and that includes me and King_Ghidra.

It's the diversification factor - as I went to 5 different schools, moved around a bit and then quit the country, I lost touch. An absolute treasure trove for me.

1 month ago I met 13 people from my old class (we were 32). It was amazing. It was the first time sinc 1979 we met again (for some of us).

The top student still lives with his parents and is still at the uni (with 38???)
The womanizer was the most annoying man, all the ladies tried to hide (no, it wasn't me)
The most boring students had interesting jobs and lifes.
The people living far away from the old home did come, the people living 300 meters away from the meeting place didn't manage it.

I may post a 1979 pic ifthe scanner eventually runs under XP. It's even more funny than the army picture (and: yes, I'm the idiot again)

I'm not surpised about that. It seems that the ones who stayed closest the school were the most bring.

e.g. "I have worked in the same bakery for 22 years after leaving school"

I like reading what people are up to.

One guy who was really boring at school I met at the funeral of another guy from my year. He's a racing driver now.

What sort of racing? Professional?

Actually, I think racing drivers are at heart really boring people.

I like seeing what people have ended up doing. An amazing amount of people are married with kids. That's scary.

One girl had 3 kids with 3 different fathers, the oldest 18. She's 38. She runs a shop now.

T and Coffee

How do you make your tea or coffee?
Personally I think the ritual is important. At work C@H and me made the coffee grandma style (not using a coffee machine). That was nice.
I think of changing my tea ritual, changing to the traditional way (using 2 pots) ...
