So what did Joel do to Alisiboo? (Though I think I can guess; I am of course assuming Alisiboo is the only 15 year old around here)

Well, that's what they get for breaking forum rule #1. Never date anyone you meet on Counterglow or Poly. You figure people would have learned that after the two "incidences" which were so painfully dragged out both here and at poly but it seems people are slow learners.

Look... just because she's old enough to decide on her own to play bouncy-bouncy where you live, that does not mean her people/government think the same. @15, Boo's considered a kid in plenty of places and circles, some of them legal and law enforcement. And with the international cooperation to crack down on pedos and groomers, well... you could face repercussions if someone actually reported you for it. At least for grooming, if not actual pedo. It just takes her trying to pose "sexy" for you in some districts for pics to be considered "kiddie porn". That's all straight up.

Now, I'm not saying I know what was going on, cause I don't. But you are still at that boundry age where a young woman a few years younger then you will be considered a responsible woman or a child, depending on the location. And when you are doing things digital, there are at least 3 locations... where you are, where she is, and everywhere in between that the bits pass through. They all can decide to make noise. Best for you to stay at "almost 18" for the next couple of years... and finally not go under 21. If you really want to be "legal" when going digital.

Well, enough of my extremes and cautions.

Well, hell, TV4Fun... being in America doesn't mean anything. The legal age ranges from 14 to 21 in the States. And it's 12 in several countries. However, even in West Virginia or Massachussettes, which are 14 for age of consent, digital sexy/serious flirty chat is considered "Internet Grooming" and illegal. And a 19 year old married to such a young gal who posted or RECEIVED "sexy" pictures of their missus would find they were legally pedeos. Whoopsie.

Having had plenty of young "going to get married regardless of what you say" relatives and all the mad parents out to stop it, and end up filing charges against various romeos, you find out a lot about those sorts of things. I think it's rather unfair to hang a 17 year old out as a pedo and groomer cause he's been sweet and hot chatting a 14 year old, but some parents will go that far. And some local politicians will make sure the charges stick, to look tough to their electorate. Straight up.

Well, I've absord a good bit. 8 female cousins that somewhere between 12 and 16 had found the love of their life and was going to run away and be a "modern bride" ( ) with their Romeo. Many of their parents didn't take that well... then there's all the male cousins (between 13 to 19) whose girlfriends wanted them to run away with them (and did, for a little while at least), and the girlfriends' parents went ballistic. Strange how creative people get with the law when they cannot get their kiddies to do as they are commanded by parent power...

As many as you.

My family, being "Southern", just has a tradition of remembering each other, rather then ignoring each other.

All it takes is remembering your family. There isn't that many people in the world, and until recently, most didn't go far from where they were born. That means most of us aren't further apart then 5th or so cousins.

Also, I'm part of the generation where people down here started having less kids. My mom and proceeding generations tend to come from families of 8 to 10 living siblings. Makes for lots and lots of cousins. Especially when you know everyone's geneology for 6 to 10 generations back, easy, and some much further back then that. It's just tradition.

For a few living generations back I can confirm personally, having met most of them. Otherwise, I just have to take the records at face value.

Records for my family are shakey at best. My cousin did research it but came up with a couple of unfortunate deaths (I've posted several times but one guy was missing presumed drowned in Cork Docks after closing time, another was locked out by his wife after not coming back from the pub, slashed his wrists when he tried to break the back door window to get in and bled to death on the outside toilet) she decided to stop looking.

My great grandad left Ireland to join the British Army and went to India. They then came back and lived in Liverpool (my great uncle was acutally born on the troop ship on the way home). My Grandfather's surname on the birth certificate was spelled wrongly so we have different surnames to any surviving Irish relatives anyway. Still have family on my grandma's side of that family, load of second cousins or something who live in the New Forest area. don't see them often.

On my mum's side my Grandmother was adopted (we found this out when she died) turns out her parents were an American couple who died in a plane crash but she survived.

Well, my mom's family line has a good bit of Irish. And Ireland's population isn't that diverse actually, once you get several generations back, so we are related, it's just a matter of where our ancestor lines cross. Whether it's 6 generations back or 12... Probably not a lot of recent re-crossing though. Although who knows? Eventually, going far enough back, you will find commonailty, and thus prove all of my relatives are all of your relatives as well.

Of course, we have to prove that Venom is not human, and that Lurker is an alien, or we'll have to accept being related to them as well. :ugg:

Everyone's related to about 8 african guys anyway.

Well... more than that but humans have one of the least diverse sets of genes of any creature.

Has to be more diverse then gorillas. I saw recently that they only have one blood type... type B, IIRC.

And I always wonder about that first mother of the new species. I mean, there has to be a first... but where does the second, male come from? Otherwise, doesn't the gene drift/change get lost? If she can still interbreed with the "ancestor" species, then it's not a new species zoologically speaking, is it? So you have to get a pair, don't you? Brother and sister from similar gene extreme parents? How does the actual evolutionary step of speciation happen?

Nope, we're less diverse than gorillas or chimps or any of the other apes.

Gradually. It doesn't happen in one generation, you get slow changes over time not instant change to a new species.

but there is that line where you cannot breed back to the ancestor or sibling. So I understand the gradual change, but there is still that point where the children are distinct and seperate species from their near relatives. They cannot breed back... we aren't talking seperate breeds, but seperate species. If they can interbreed, then they are breeds, not species, after all.

And science isn't sure it is minor, gradual changes. The sudden large change is still quite popular theory, from what I've read on this subject.
