Well, not really a surprise. Very ambitious game, and I expect they'd delay it at least once to get all the cinks out. Let's hope Infrogrames doesn't Civ3 it and force it out early.

I was expecting that too.
And I agree with Sirius, no need to rush the game. I can wait.

Release dates R gay.

The bastards are having so much fun playing it, they can't be bothered to release it!!

I'm happy to see it delayed. Better that than rush a beta out and screw the fans.

A delay? For a computer game? Wow! What will this mean for the industry?

At least one less patch with luck...

It's already been delayed - but your point is good. A finished game is better than a beta.

Explains why CivIII was released early.

That's not ACTUALLY a delay. I forget the game, but the back of it's manual listed MoO3 as a Q3 2002 game.

I saw something a short while back saying MoO3 would be Q1 2002.

If the site is saying Q2, sound like it's still on schedule to me. It would be a Q4 2002 or Q1 2003 that would be a REAL delay. Although initially, the Project lead *did* mention a Christmas 2002 or Christmas 2003 release, WAY back when they hung out at the MoO forum at SidGames.

there's a big moo3 ad on the back of the civ3 manual, Darkstar - but you couldn't remember where you saw it?

That was one of the only NEW, INNOVATIVE features of Civ3!
(OK, so I really like Civ3, but its so much fun to bash anyway, I'm not happy if I'm not bitching sometimes)

THAT explains it!

I only looked at the manual once. Didn't even OPEN it. ROTFLMAO. I had thought maybe it was the Civ3 manual, but I wasn't really sure.

Civ3 isn't a big horror story. I just don't think it should be called Civalization 3. Call To Power 3, maybe...
