My 5 favourite new MP3's are:-

Fire in the Disco - Electric 6
Teardrops - Womack & Womack
Make You Feel That Way - Blackalicious
Personal Jesus - Johnny Cash

The Fire in the Disco video disturbs me.

I absolutely love it I've seen it once and I've been humming it ever since. It is really weird. I worry about the strength of the kissing though - they could really bash their teeth like that.

Who's the chick in the video?

The Who? The Who in the mod period or in the "We're total wankers on a mission to destroy rock music by turning psychadelica away from pop" period (ie. Tommy etc.)?

That's known as the "cocaine period" of the band life cycle.

A 2 CD, 40 track, greatest hits collection that I picked up cheaply, so both.

Tommy is great.

Bo it isn't. It's a secord-rate, highly.confused rock opera with loads of shit fiddly bits and total lack of structure. Pinball Wizard is the worst of the lot as well.

Good late-sixties Rock Opera albums: "Arthur" by The Kinks and "SF Sorrow" by The Pretty Things.

I find some of their earlier stuff a bit preppy. My Generation excluded.

My favourite track on the CD is Boris the Spider.

I never got in to The Who or The Stones or The Kinks. The Kinks were like the Stereophonics of their day.

The Kinks are my favourite of the three. Never really liked The Stones.

About 3 or 4 from the 34,367 studio albums the Stones have recorded have been pretty good. The best ones are the ones where they just play bluesy rock and don't try to be cool or contemporary or current, or any of those other C words bands try and be.

I've seen all three live (Kinks, Stones, The Who) several times. The Kinks win, plus they have the original fighting rock bros!
The Who come in second...and please don't make me see the Stones again, groan.

You can't get no satisfaction from them?

I downloaded Exile on Mainstreet after losing my original. That is a cool album.
