OK, so the subtitles in English for Fucking Åmål seem to be generally OK, but I’ve got two bits which are wrong—question marks instead of the correct character. Could one of you oh-so-kind-and-not-at-all-condescending Swedes help me?

First: Elin and Jessica are talking about going to Agnes’s, and where she might know people from.
‘S?fle, Bengtsfors, Mellerud…’

Second: Agnes’s dad asks her about what she’s reading.
‘Ah, Edith S?ergran…’

I am not Swedish, but...

'Säffle' and 'Södergran'.

Säffle, Bengtsfors and Mellerud are other no-name shitholes in the southwest of Sweden.

Edith Södergran is the greatest poet the swedish language has ever had.

I just noticed that you can clearly see ‘Edith Södergran’ when Agnes shows the cover to her father. Christ, that scene where she cuts herself is painful to watch.
