It might be a bit of bad form to be advertising things for sale here but it might do somebody a good turn.

I have my old 1983 Fender Pro Reverb for sale.

This was marketed under the "Pro" name but is in effect a good old Fender Twin. So, 2 channels, about 120 Watts RMS (so peaks at over 150 Watts I guess), built in reverb on one channel and that classic fender sound.

Hmm. Why doesn't Nills take a look at that bad boy?

Excellent amp too. We can always paint some skulls on it and give it a few more corners to suit him.

If it's actually a twin reverb they get even better reviews:

My marshall was a twin reverb. It had an amazing stereo sound which still sounded stereo from far away. The sound seemed to fill the room and feel like it was inside your head too. It was awesome as I'm sure this one is.

Ive owned three comparable amps since I started playing 6 years ago: Marshall Valvestate, Marshall DSL Combo and a Fender Deluxe 90. I can tell you the old myth about good gear doesnt make you a better player is rubbish. The fact of the matter is that having good sounding gear with minimal features (especially an amp) means you plug in and go and spend less time fiddling knobs trying to get the best sound out of crap gear. None of these amps (all of which had far more features than this amp) can compare in terms of sound quality. I will never need another amp but seen as its all valve and nearly 30 yrs old it will need looking after.

HOLY SHIT! NILLS GET THIS AMP!!!

if you can afford it of course and there's no pressure or anything, I'm sorry to have shouted, I just want you to sound great etc...

The drawback with this amp is that it is very heavy to carry around (did I mention it was a valve amp too?)

Well... maybe the weekend after the gig (or sometime RC's free) we could pop up and look at it? (If Nills doesn't want to on his own)

Yep - that's the one. Actually, I am not sure that the first review is right, I think the push/pull switch does affect the dry channel as well but I am not sure...

Should be OK, if you want.

Resource consumer turns Amp vendor.

I like the sound of this (obviously I haven't heard it yet though!!)

How much are you charging for this baby?

Of course this depends on Nills wanting to get an amp.

I don't know yet, I have been meaning to stick it in Loot for about 6 weeks but have been trying to ascertain what the market price is.

Well, I would love it (if it is reasonably priced). Unfortunately I don't know how I would ever transport it..... Does the Amp come with a driver and car?

You could always store it at my house or at your parents house with your guitar and other amp.

Why don't you hurry up and invent that teleporter you keep going on about?

If we go and look at it and you like it I'm sure we can work something out about transporting it.
