LadyRachel just sent me this link. For some reason cowbells were imprinted on her memory after that Unholy practice she attended. *ahem*

Download the Christopher Walken Saturday Night Live "More Cowbell" sketch.

protein, I hope you take this on board. MORE COWBELL!

LadyRachel attended an Unholy practice? When? Who? Huh?

Yeah, just when we start rocking i will unleash the annoying "tnok tnok tnok tnok tnok tnok tnok" noise that is the cowbell.

 I'm sure she'll be flattered that you remembered.

At Sam's parents house, the one where K_G ended up lying on the lawn outside saying "I can't get up", the one we have all the pictures of.

I can't remember anything. I can barely remember K_G being in the band. Those damn drugs. I knew there'd be some sort of problem with taking them.

Can we get a bit of a cowbell solo in the break in Mystic 4?

protein

no. and nobody else is allowed to join in on a cowbell either. How can anyone like that tnok tnok tnok noise?

Funkodrom

How can anyone NOT like it?! You are weird. We have to entertain and there's nothing more entertaining than a cowbell.

If we had an actual cow wearing the cow bell on stage, that would be entertaining.
It is just the noise you hear on Ski Sunday accompanied by people shouting "op op op op op"

The noise of a cowbell makes people happy. How can you deny them happiness like that?

It is the sound of unhappyness to me. They used it in that Free song that was a chewing gum advert.
It reminds me of 40 year old pub bands who play crap blues brothers music.
I would consider after you cut me open and rape my dead corpse, but until then - not in a million years.

OK, who's got a knife?

NecroFury will have cowbells. And guitars tuned so low they can't be heard by the human ear.

I don't see what's not funny about that TOK sound. A rhythm played just on a cowbell tok-tok toketty tok tok is guaranteed to make me laugh. It's as funny as a fart.

Get me a duck quack thing and a whoopie cushion too and we could do a chuckle brothers style comedy number.

Now you are talking!

We could cover "Groove is in the Heart" by the bucket heads!!!!!

Genius

Funkodrom

I thought that was Deeee-lite.

E-mail discussions seem to have decided that the percussion on Necrofury tracks (or at least a track) will be purely church bells and cowbells.

That sounds great. Fancy throwing in a few Gongs and oversized triangles.

You're right about deeeeeeeeeeeeeelight.

Funkodrom

I suppose you could have a standard beat with the church bells as bass drumm, cowbell as snare, triangle as hi-hat and a variety of gongs as cymbals.

Bong ---- Tok- ---- Bong Bong Tok- ----
ting ting ting ting ting ting ting ting
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooonggggggggggg

Groove is in the Heart would be a wicked cover.

There's no way a really groovy and excellent song could become a less groovy rock version.

Funkodrom

Actually the church bell is the big Gooooooooong so the gong has to be the bass drum.

You might have a point there.

It is a superb song though. Maybe we could have it as our outro. Our intro should of course be the original Dr Who theme.

Funkodrom

Weren't we going to to a cover of the Dr. Who theme?

Funkodrom

Mind you practically every song ever written has been talked about as a cover.

Maybe we could do something really difficult and controversial like taking a Travis song and making it rock!
