Ready guys?
Learned that song we discussed? I know it and I suspect Goat does. I text-ed Pete and told him to learn it last month.

I know it. Couldn't play it. I've spent the last week widdling away to get my powers back. Can now play it, although probably at recorded speed rather than the faster way we used to.

I haven't had a chance to pick up my axe since last practice - been sooooooooooooo busy.

However last weekend I dorve over the River Axe, so I hope to have absorbed some new power through diffusion

New song? We're talking about the cover you twat.

I can't remember anything about the new song. I'm sure it'll come back to me though.

You're the twat. We should know the new song as well.

I've only played it that once and haven't got anything to remember it by. Won't take me 2 seconds to remember it.

AH! I understand your e-mail now, I thought you meant protein when you said BOB. It's at The Turks again.

Oh and I'm still not doing the solo in the cover and you can't make me. :p

Goat Spawn
18-10-2002, 10:16:49
Well, it's going to be a real short song. Maybe bloomers can get his lazy arse of his sofa and pick up your axe for that bit??

Funkodrom
18-10-2002, 10:20:35
Not really, the solos are actually 20 seconds each so knocking one out and playing it a bit faster makes it last about 3:30. :D

Funkodrom
18-10-2002, 10:21:25
Anyway the solos are both way beyond my powers of guitar playing.

I was getting Tab from OLGA before you had your first drunm stick.

Who's up for Rock and/or Roll!!!!!!!

Funkodrom
18-10-2002, 11:00:27
Definitely. Obiat are playing tonight, they are very much 70s Rock ala Sabbath. They are great.

King_Ghidra
18-10-2002, 11:03:41
i think i might come along for a piece of that

Funkodrom
18-10-2002, 11:07:23
Also playing are Jokei Ciro and Self Esteem. I think we've all seen Jokei Ciro before at one time or another, that bass player who was infamously the stand in for Plaguebearer plays for them. Don't know anything about Self Esteem.

Please don't implicate me in your sordid little Iron Maiden conversations. I have never even set eyes on that tab book, nor would I want to.

Can you ask her about PA - ie. monitoring and drum mics? How long do we have for our set?

Funkodrom
21-10-2002, 08:50:26
What do you want to know about them specifically?

protein
21-10-2002, 09:20:52
Are there monitors and drum mics?
If not can we provide drum mics and a PA with monitors?
How long is our set?

Funkodrom
21-10-2002, 09:38:59
You and your frikkin drum mics. There always have been monitors and everything miced up when I've been there before.

And I think I got the gist of the how long is our set question. :D

Goat Spawn

Are we first up? I need to travel long distances.....

Funkodrom

Second of 3 unless you want us to go first.

We couldn't hear ourselves last time and I've seen bands struggle there. The venue has a good sound when things are set up right. We need to organise an amp for Goat (i won't buy an amp unless it costs 3000 and is unmoveable) Spawn.

Goat Spawn
21-10-2002, 09:53:57
Just give me a rough idea when we shall be finished

Funkodrom
21-10-2002, 09:58:29
Well closing is 10:30 and there's a band after us so I'm guessing before 10.

At the moment you guys have every bit of information I have about this and as soon as I get more I'll send it to you immediately.

Cool. Goatman, buy a goddamn amp. I will select a good Marshall for you if you don't know what you need.

I had the 8240 which was the loudest, sweetest sounding motherfucker I have ever heard. I heard it in Modern Music and fell in love with it's warm Marshall tones and huge sound - 3 months later I owned one.
