Has anyone seen this?
Released last week in the UK, the latest film of the prequel to Silence of the Lambs.
I'm puzzled - at the end there's a credit to a scene from Silence of the Lambs, and it's been bugging me since Friday because I can't think what scene it could be!

Any clues?

Dunno... I've seen the original film though. That was good.

Red Dragon was quite good, but somehow not what I expected, despite it being very close to the book.
Still a couple of bits which made me jump though, and a couple of laughs

I can't remember the book very well. So long since I read it. I saw the old film again last year sometime I think though.

Never seen the original film, but I've read the book a couple of times, at least.
I need to re-read it now I've seen the film, cos I'm going quietly mad thinking of the things that were changed

I don't think I have Red Dragon anywhere to re-read.

You can get the 3 books together pretty cheaply now - about 7/8 for the "omnibus"

Ah, but I definitely have the other two. :D

Hannibal was a bit disappointing though. I think my favourite of his books is Black Sunday although Silence of the Lambs was the most disturbing.

Haven't read Black Sunday, for some reason the blurb on the back just didn't appeal to me, although I like the others.

I liked Hannibal in book form, although I thought the film was crap - so much was left out, it was almost a completely different story.

It's different certainly. From what I remember the blurb on the back doesn't sound as good as the book actually is, but it's not a psychological thriller with a serial killer as such.

You've actually seen Manhunter? I didn't think anyone had seen the first true Hannibal movie.

So no-one knows, or no-one's seen it?
Damn it, you guys are supposed to be the font of all knowledge!!

Yeah, a couple of times.

Tizzy, it doesn't necessarily mean it's still in the movie. It could have been edited out but they still have to credit it due to the rules.

Yeah, I know that.
Still like to know one way or the other whether I'm losing my mind or they cut the scene :)

I guess you'll never know then.

But if I had to guess I think it would be the last scence of the movie. It makes references to a female FBI agent coming to visit him. But since I haven't seen Silence of the Lambs in like 10 years I don't know if that's at the beginnning of that movie.

You're losing your mind.
