This one's better than any of the Fellowship ones.

Is this the full screen one? Because smaller versions have been floating around out there for about a week now.

If you checked the link you would know.

Venom

Just providing some discussion. Seen them both already. The small one and the large one. So I think I'm safe in leaving the link alone.

Yep, it might bite if you click it. :D

I saw an Ent's legs and hand, but no Shelob. Maybe they're saving her for a surprise.

Well, Gollum looks…OK. It looks like being a more solid movie on the whole, probably because Men are easier to do right than Elves.

On a side note, QuickTime sucks. When I say full screen I mean full screen.

Venom

From what I understand, Shelob won't be in The Two Towers.

And yes. QuickTime licks leper nut sac.

Quick time sucks. I agree with that.

FunkyFingers

It's better than Winzode media "player".

SATAN
02-10-2002, 09:37:22
is it fuck

windows media player is fine - what version of it do you have funky?

FunkyFingers

Version 7.01
Buggy and resource-hoggy. I prefer Real One actually.

Funkodrom
02-10-2002, 10:00:51
The new version of Winamp (3) is better than both I think, now you can play images on it. RealOne is better than the last Real Player but is still a bitch for sending stuff to RealNetworks and installing loads of crap everywhere and poping up crap all over the system. WMP is flakey and a bit of a resource hog. It's not bad, just bloated.

Funkodrom

Quicktime is the worst of them all.

SATAN

don't know if you guys have seen windows media player 8 but i think it's pretty cool

i have winamp 3 too, just trying to learn how to use it :)

Sean
02-10-2002, 10:21:45
I hate Winamp 3, because it takes up more resources than Winamp 2.

SATAN
02-10-2002, 10:26:03
you guys all must have lame ass pc's if you're worried about the resources that a program like that takes up. Or what do you do? 3d modelling at home?

Sean
02-10-2002, 10:30:02
See the Photoshop Help thread.

Besides, it’s the principle of the thing—I like Winamp 2 because it is lean and effecient. Winamp 3 is heading down new, scary paths.

System resources are important at work when you've got 15 browser windows running

SATAN

that's a lot of porn

You shouldn't need to worry about the resources, that's the problem with WMP.

Anyway, it doesn't matter how much capacity you have you still shouldn't waste it.

Exactly, you never know when you'll need to open up a "work" document if the boss comes in

Venom
02-10-2002, 11:54:34
So the machine crashes and the boss see's it, then you've got an excuse not to work.

No Shelob? This movie needs a bigger badass than Saruman, and Sauron isn't likely to appear. The first movie had the Balrog, this one should have Shelob.

I'm off to pout. :(

Venom
02-10-2002, 19:01:07
The Balrog was in the movie for all or 17 seconds. The Wraiths were more badass than the Balrog.

Goob

My grandma is more of a bad ass than the wraiths.

Shelob will not be in TTT, it was decided that there was too much material that Jackson wanted in the movie so it was pushed back. Also it would play havoc with the timeline if they were trying to keep the stories in synch.

Venom
03-10-2002, 00:38:23
The Balrog fell off a fucking bridge. What kind of a tool is that?

Sean
03-10-2002, 00:41:26
That’s a point, I’m still annoyed that they showed Gandalf alive.

Mightytree
03-10-2002, 00:53:49
It's hard making a trailer for TTT without showing Gandalf in it.

Venom
03-10-2002, 01:46:06
You could do it. Plenty to show. They're hiding the Ents better than they're hiding Gandalf. They should have shown just an old man walking through Fangorn.

Sean
03-10-2002, 01:48:49
Or not shown him at all. That would have been better. Show lots of Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, with occassional shots of Frodo and Sam and maybe, maybe a shot of Gollum.

Venom
03-10-2002, 02:04:34
See. Easily done for a trailer.

Erm... Gandalf not being dead is like the worst kept secret EVER in a movie, dudes.

Funkodrom
03-10-2002, 09:21:27
Some people I went to see the first film with who hadn't read the books didn't know, they said they couldn't believe he was really dead though.

No reason to show him, though. The only way it would be a surprise is if you made people forget about him, by focusing on the Aragorn/Legolas/Gimli sections early on.

The wraiths made a really cool sound (at the theater, anyway), but the Balrog only needed 17 seconds to impress me. I'll like them even better if they get their winged mounts.

Maybe Gandalf will "flashback" when he explains how he survived.

I'm still mad about Shelob.

Goob

But McKellan's name is on all the posters, and will be part of the marketing..., and well I just don't think it would be much of a surprise by December no matter what.

FunkyFingers

I didn't konw that Gandalf didn't die until I read the book. I think it was a shame that they showed him in the trailers.

I'm still interested by how the Ents are going to come across on screen.
