I've had my greedy expansionist eye on this juicy bit of forum-estate for awhile now, but I was delayed from MOVING IN by all the rockies runnin round hyarr.

With the aid of a few D&B vs UKG threads however, finally my iron shod boot has made its pressance felt.

You will all bow down before me and obey my brutal laws.

Dictat One:

From now on, there will be more talk of music that does not require pneumatic neck-muscles and long hair.

Dictat Two:

There will be more talk of what the Americans like to call 'Dance music' of all kinds, and more talk of clubs and events in the southeast that is not the Reading Festival.

Now, load the wagons with vinyl, and form an orderly que outside the sight for my new musical-information mine that I will have built, that you may provide your new Overlord with melodic wealth.

It's better 2 step music than UK Garage

Funkodrom

Is there anything worse than UK Garage though?

Yes.

Wow.

Can you put some on LWP3?

Ah, he didn’t say that it was music. It could be a visit to a battery farm, or something.

Nah, "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" is too long. It'd eat up my entire allocation.

Oh come on, even if you absolutely detest Pink Floyd it's better than Craig "please someone torture me to death with electrodes and blunt instruments on live national TV" David and his poncy, stupid haired, kids with their trousers tucked into white socks whilst they knife people and listen to 'tunes' with rhythms with so many of the important beats missing that anyone forced to listen to them for more than a couple of minutes would eat their way through their own stomach rather than live a minute longer, crew!

God, it makes me so angry, no wonder there's such violence in the garage scene.

Haha, you reckon that's the problem? They have to pretent to enjoy music they hate?

I can't see how anyone could like it.

But you must admit it has humour value. For example the backing to 21 Seconds by So Solid Cru is just a drum machine and a sample of the engine from a formula 1 car. The sample isn't treated or anything, it just sounds like a fast car driving past quickly.

Hmm... that would be funny if you were 17 and your mate made it on his crappy 4 track.

When I was 17, Goat Spawn was the only person I knew with a crappy 4-track, and he didn't have that much talent/ability.

I like the way the middle class white kids go around saying "yeah yeah yeah wickid tune bo selecta and ting."

You are right about vital beats missing. Maybe that's why it makes me so angry too. Not just the loud and agressive poetry that gets gibbered over the top. ie - "ribby dibby dibby got a shot gun and an AK booooo slap my bitch she ask for it yeah booooooo ribby dibby booka booyaka shaaaaaahhh" etc...

Maybe I should record it while the idea is fresh in my mind. Wow, sometimes I'm amazed at my own creativity.

 It always strikes me when a fellow human being percieves the exact same thing I do, proof that the color 'blue' is as blue to you as it is for me:)

Those damn missing beats fucking enrage me too, (you could say you have to listen to the beats that aren't being played- sure you could say that, about BETTER music anyway) that and the utter emptiness of emotional depth and piss-puddle shallow poseurism that is the UKG ford-escort noise. Its getto sound without the Heart, just the crap.

This REALLY pissed me off, to hear those bastards desecrate such a beutifuly composed tune as the original (true) 21 seconds..., they fucking raped that tune man, and for what- so they could do a rip-off version of the Prodigy's Poison video.

>gah!... (that's my sneer and turn away in disgust noise by the way)<

Bo selecta from tha' 'ull massive!

:vom:

All that shit they come out with, I mean, it is just hollow and irritating. And the things that should be done with Craig David and a piano wire, certainly not starting with the neck!
