Good choice. It's their best. Pity my old cassette copy is stretched to buggery and I can't find it on CD.

The bands I named are all brilliant, but a bit neglected these days. They could use some decent retrospectives.

There was a Spaceman 3 tribute album released a while ago. I've never heard it, but I'm told it is quite good. Excellent Mogwai track apparently.

The Perfect Prescription is still available from Amazon USA:-

Can you propose a song from each one?

Spacemen 3- "Take me to the other side" or "Rollercoaster"

That Petrol Emotion- "Creeping to the cross" or "Scumsurfin'"

Thin White Rope- "It's OK" or "Diesel Man"

The Telescopes- "The perfect needle" or "I fall, she screams"

Dub Sex- "Time of life"

Bark Psychosis- "All different things" or "Nothing feels".

I saw Spacemen 3 once. Apparently. It was on my birthday. I remember walking into the ballroom at Keele University, seeing the lights, hearing the one chord strummed repeatedly ... and that's it. No recollection of anything else that night.

That was the night that the super skunk mashed me over the head while walking up the stairs and turned the students union upside down. Hmmmm.

There was an indie also-ran band called "Bleach" who had a minor hit with "Wipe it away". I had a similar blackout experience with them, culmination with (I'm told) me being sick on the singer's foot.

Muchas Gracias. I'll download them when I get a problem fixed with the work PC. *archives thread*
