After the stunning success of last week's track I have chosen one this week from a band that I recent saw live and really liked, Miss Black America. This track is from their website (http://www.missblackamerica.net) and is from their X-Cel FM session. It's called Car Crash for a Soul. Download it here. (http://www.missblackamerica.net/MP3/MissBlackAmerica-02-Car%20Crash%20for%20a%20Soul.mp3). Miss Black America are currently on tour in the UK promoting their debut album God Bless Miss Black America, check the website for details.

Are they as good as sonic undermind?

Yes, definitely. Well... they are better.

You can't say that sort of shit.
I had a look on their website and read "...sound like Manic Street Preachers..." and "...punk...".
fook that, I'm not wasting my computer's time downloading punk manics.

I can, it's true. Not many bands I'd say that about though obviously.

Punk Manics is a crap description of them anyway. They are much better than the Manics ever were and they are punk in attitude rather than musically I would say... there's an edginess to them but it's not 3 chord noisemongering.

Oh and they are better live than on mp3, their live show was outstanding.

I forgot there were people who still liked the Manics.

And how big/famous someone is bears little relation to how good they are.

Fine, I'll download last week's, then, and wait until Thursday until I listen to this one. If only 'cause I'm dissapointed you didn't pick "Our Vision is one Honeywell". :)

yeah that's what i meant - the first three albums are great. When they went stadium rock they declined.

The holy bible is as ambitious, brave and challenging as anything.
Some nice tunes too :)

Funko you're right about popularity not meaning quality, but i only metioned the fact that MBA are nobodies as a response to your attempt to dismiss the entire manics back catalogue in one sentence - a pointless and ill advised excercise if you ask me
