Anyone heard this band?

I've just been sent a song of theirs called Have You Forgotten and it's quite good. If I was a cliched low budget magazine reviewer I might describe them as being "like Crowded House, but with an edge." The edge being they swear occasionally.

What other songs of theirs should I download?

I don't know, I don't like House music.

They were great. The first album "Down Colorful Hill" is the one to get. Check out "Michael", their best-known song, or "Medicine Bottle".

nothing like Crowded house

Under the genre of slow core I believe.

I have a copy of one of their albums with a cover of the S&G song 'I am a Rock' brilliant version.

Mark Kozelek the main songwriter did an album of slow core ACDC songs recently I think.

I don't think my local HMV has a slow-core section. Come to think of it, nor does any record shop I've ever been too.

do you work for NME?

I think that was the term Q or some Mag used. At least there is some kind of descriptive nature to it, better than EMO whoever should be shot.the

They were usually called "Sadcore". It was a genre that basically consisted of just them and American Music Club. Still, both bands were great.

"Slo-Core" really applied more to bands like Low or Yo La Tengo- more laid back.

Kozelek's ACDC covers are brilliant. They come out as real aching and lovelorn sighs.

Yo La Tengo are great. In fact pretty much every band on Matador are great.
