Maybe you'd like CivIII if you did?

I'd probably eat the manual

Did you get CivIII

And building cities in the mountains is a bad idea because they grow too slowly.

You can build cities?

No. I lied.

You cannot build cities on mountains.
You cannot irrigate hills (I guess Firaxis has decided terracing is just a fluke, and would never happen again...)

Civ3 and CtP2 are about on par... except CtP2 seems to be the better game. Other then it's AI which refuses to kill the human. That could be a design thing, though. Some people think a single player computer game is played for the HUMAN'S enjoyment. ;)

I liked CtP better. It was more "simple"

I've ignored CivIII. It's not new (not even any social engineering like in Alpha Centauri - that game at least contained innovations, even if it also had flaws), it's not better (still ICS and mass city management in the late game), and I just have too many other games to get around to finishing.

But I didn't get high, either.
