Why not try BMXing? From the makers of the Tony Hawk series comes Matt Hoffman's BMX 2. PlanetPS2 has the review. (http://www.planetps2.com/features/reviews/2002/mathoffman2/)

edge gave it 6 out of 10, they seem to think there are some problems with the bike/rider dynamics

Did anyone play the Dave Mirra BMX game for the PSX? That was kinda fun.

i just don't see how this series can ever be as good as its contemporary tony hawks

Did you play the demo of Mat Hoffman on Tony Hawks 2? It just didn't have the same feel as the skating game...

the thing about tony hawks is that clearly it isn't realistic but they use the board almost like the flying wing hat in mario, it's just a thing that you use to navigate around the level trying different things

its not really a skating game anymore but it has evolved into something more universal and far superior

Yeah, which is why the skating purists don't like it.

Oh, Dave Mirra was nowhere near as good as Tony Hawks, especially two player, but it did have the mode where you had to get the most spectacular wipeout, and a decent single-player mode, which worked quite well multi-single-player, if you see what I mean.

i bet - they can stick to the fucking forbury for all i care

And the original Tony Hawks still has the best feel.
