View Full Version : Free Game of the Week - Rally

I'd better warn you up front that this purports to be a multiplayer game and thus requires (free) registration.

Rally is something as unusual as a Turn-Based Strategy Racing game. Conduct your car around the track, trying to approximate the perfect racing line and avoiding crashing or falling behind the rest of the cars.

Like with all really good games, the rules are ridiculously simple, but the strategy can just like in real racing be quite complex. I've found that the lessons learned from this game translate fairly well into other racing games...

Lesson one: Never post a game that requires registration, no matter how god-is-a-whore brilliant it happens to be.

I'm still at work so I haven't tried it yet.

Since no-one is fainly interested, I might as well recommend another game from the same site that I was saving up: RollerBoy 2. It's probably the best Platform game I've ever seen on-line.

On request I created a counterglow account so that people can try this one at a time and not necessarily register.

User name: Counterglow, Password: gaytwat (HARDMAN was already taken)

OK I've played it...

It's quite enjoyable for a short period of time. different tracks and cars each progressively more difficult level but I bored of it fairly quickly. I think I prefer more fast paced reaction based games though.

OK I've played it...

Not as good as Ant Arena.

Right, okay, Action Games, not TBS games. Must stop thinking in Poly mode.

Last week's teaser game was slightly actiony, any of you tried that?

This week's will be quite actiony, and also somewhat Jamesy.
