Since Funkodrom has announced his part in the planned series of recurring items I thought I'd tell you a bit about mine as well. Starting next thursday (so as to get a healthy gap between the two), I'll be adding a weekly free game to the Counterglow front page.

Alternating between on-line games and downloadable freeware titles, the focus will be placed squarely on original gameplay premises and perfect execution. The number of games requiring a kickass PC to run will be kept at a minimum. Any suggestions, PM me.

For my taster title I've selected a game with an astoundingly intuitive yet totally unique premise. And did I say indescribable? "War Game" is an astonsishingly shit genre placement for this strategic-puzzle-action-multiplayer extravaganza. It's also playable on-line, so those who're up for a counterglow game... :-D

Your taste in games is just about as bad as your taste in music.

"As Bad" meaning Magnificent and Glorious, O Yea, For It Is Verily The Only True Taste?

There must be some kind of mistake.

You realise that this game doesn't feature an option for Mac users, thus alienating at least 75% of the members of this board.

what? It's just me?

I'm sorry.

Every other week will be an on-line game week and thus maccompatty, but for the downloadable ones I can't make a special allowance for Mac users. It'd remove all the games I've lined up so far, for instance.

now I wanted to comment about it after a few go's, but I couldn't find the thread again, I searched "double", "wires", and the whole "Free Game of the Week" list, to no avail....
