LucasArts has made an announcement that's taken the entire community by surprise. Hubba Hubba Hubba. A sequel is in the works for the funniest game of all time, Sam and Max Hit The Road. Elation! I'd write more but I'm in a state of adrenalin rush. w00t, or words to that effect.

This is the strangest news item I've ever written. For this I'm deeply sorry.

This is the best news I've heard for a long, long time. Sam and Max, with Day of the Tenticle and Full Throttle, are the funniest adventure games ever made. Hell they are the funniest in any genre.

Haven't played the others but Full Throttle was awesome, I was gutted when I finished that.

You can buy Sam and Max/Day of the Tentacle for a tenner in british shops, should you want to try them. They really are absolutely brilliant.

It's been a long time since there's has been a decent comedy adventure game. Hopefully they've built up enough jokes to make it a game to restart the genre.

The only thing Lucasarts seems to be capable of building is hype.

I dunno, I really liked EMI.

Fantastic news, simply fantastic. Can't wait for it, loved the original. I still use that "Not as long as you don't mind me clawing at the dashboard and screaming like a cheerleader" line whenever someone asks if I mind if they drive...

Quite a run-on, that. Any projected release date?

Ouch that's a long time to wait. The jokes should be even better though.
