Well I bought the second album when it came out the other year and played it to death. Fantastic stuff.

Now wandering through the shops today I noticed that both the Bsides/live album and the first album are going cheap.

So...are they worth getting. I heard that the 1st one was shit, but i've also heard that Live they are even better than recorded (apparantly the highlight of Reading fest this year)

should I get one or other or both or what?

Blatant knee-jerk prejudice time.

Matt fucking smug rat-faced "look at my artfully mad hair aren't I so great at waving a guitar in front of my sweaty little nads" fucking rat-faced fucking smug fucking rat-faced fucking rodent-fucking inbreed boy Bellamy fuck.

The little shit really brings out the grumpy old bastard in me. He's so eminently slappable.

He's got that evil fucking nasal whine of a voice too. The most irritating voice in rock since Billy Corgan.

And he hasn't got the excuse of being retarded like Billy Corgan. He's just an evil monkey-fucking twat.

Bastard.

Sorry.

It's no reflection on the music. Well, not much. He's just horrible.

Surely the thread title needs to be completed with "...should all be shot, you indie-prog scum"?

No. That's nasty. It's just the lead guitarist who must die.

LOL

Well I have never heard Origin Of Symmetry, but I can honestly say that excluding two songs (Sunburn, Muscle Museum), their first album Showbiz makes it to my 'albums to throw out' list...perhaps only the first two songs saving it from this fate. I can sell you a copy cheap Shaker ;)

You vent Laz, you vent ;)

Don't listen to these twats Shakey, both albums are really good. If you love the second one as much as you make out you'd be a fool not to get them.

I didn't see much because I was working there, but of the bands I saw they were definately the best.

Oh come on off it, their first album (as I said before, excluding the first two songs) was complete gay twattery...

But some people may like gay twattery, despite the fact that you don't. I know many people (well at least four) who think that album is great.

Whatever the merits of their music, surely you must admit that Matt Bellamy badly needs a good kicking?

Lemme see a picture of him a sec...

Not at all, just pointing out that your opinion is just that.

Well gay twattery is cool, but not this particular version of gay twattery :D

And as I said, Sunburn and Muscle Museum are good songs...

i was originally prejudiced agaist muse on account of perceived twattery of band members but after many months i had to admit the music was too good to ignore and i went out and bought origin of symmetry. Haven't heard much of anything else of theirs...
