Got this album last night, although I'm not allowed to listen to it yet cos it's Christmas pressie

But reading through the track list on the back, I find that instead of the "classic rock" fan I thought I was, I am really just an air guitar freak :D

Some of those songs are really bizarre. There are some great tracks then suddenly you go huh? Why is that on there? Like Hash Pipe by Wheezer, it's a great song but I can't imagine it being an Air Guitar song really. Oh and Let me Entertain you by Robbie.

It's got a lot of good tunes on it though. :D

mike i'm sure you know as well as i do that these things are compiled by people trying to make money not trying to actually provide the ultimate air guitar resource

'yeah throw teenage dirtbag on there that'll get the kids buying it'

isn't the greatest rock album in the world ever on volume 3 now or something?

Yeah, I know that. Still.

Personally I like Teenage Dirtbag anyway. :D

For Whom the Bell Tolls was a good choice too.

Apparently Brain May had a hand in picking which songs made it on there.
Hence the reason the album starts and finishes with Queen songs :D

No Brian May solo tracks? :nervous:

Looks an interesting album. I'll probably get it. A number of those don't strike me as being 'air guitar' type songs, though.

Popular, yes, but I don't flippin like it!! I can appreciate it's a well written song, but there are much better Queen ones you could put on an air guitar album!

I agree with Tizzy that there are lot better Queen tracks for air guitarizationism. 'Brighton rock', for one!

I've now added the album to my Christmas list for my brother's family to get me. I spotted boxed sets (compilations) of The Police and The Who while strolling around HMV in a desperate panic for presents, and so they are to passed on to my family for Christmas presents for ME!
