A really great pun in the title.

All downhill from there;)

Having now bothered to read it I'll take back what I just said, that was actually really good.

I had no idea WWF fans could write.

Very well written. Shakey has talent.

May I also point out that:

worried looks were being replaced by smiles from time-to-time

only one song can do this. ;)

And when will the other songs be available for download? <insert please soon smilie here>

Yeah, I really enjoyed Temple of Evil, that was one we didn't fuck up too much. :D

We are hoping to go and record Carpet Burns (or one of the others) in the studio when I get back from New Zealand.

You should do a cover of a cover too, just to annoy Johan.

The singing you just have to add an inhale when you are supposed to start singing each line.

Nice article. Did Funko help the Shaker with the longer words?

Excellent review! Sadly we could never use it for promotional use (which sucks) because it is too confusing for your average promoter.
Maybe I could just cut out the bits like...

A love song of such tempestuous proportions that Prospero himself would have downed sticks, gathered up his daughter, and given her one damned fine seeing to.

and

So Intense was this song, that the lead singer spent most of the song kneeling, with a pained expression of near religious zeal on his face, as he tried to read the words off a few scraps of paper distributed randomly around the stage. This just made it more Rock.

and exploit them. Infact that is what I am going to do. Hee hee!

great review shakey

you're quite funny when you're not standing/kneeling in funko's shadow ;)

PS - i will expect lyrical royalties from any future performances of temple of evil
and the 'motherfucker' in 'unholy' is also my lyric

Funkodrom
05-08-2002, 09:15:23
Sure, taking into account transport and accomodation costs and how much we got paid.. your share of the royalties is er... you owe us all a beer!

Shakey's very funny, I just repeat his jokes loud enough for everyone to hear.

how ironic that he should be your 'straight man'

Please stop obsessing about Shakey and me, it's really unhealthy.

We will take it out of the money you owe us for the studio. Fortunately we can afford to lose 'Temple of Evil' and could possibly replace 'Motherfucking' with 'Muthafucking' or even ' muthaphukin'.

Don't say that, Fistandantilus will cry.

Nothing is more affordable than a new drummer :p

The first time I heard a drummachine I was amazed. Push a button and - it stops. No more noise, nada! A miracle.

But still real drummers have advantages. There's no "get beer" button on a drum machine.

:smoke: What a lovely review except that Mighty Ogun is the best song and you need to mention how sexy i was. Carpet burns will be leaked onto the net within the week, Look for Sonic Undermind probably at loudmedicine.net or SonicUndermind's own site. Please understand that i'm not in it for the money and i prefer the flaming lips. Carpet Burns is quite dark, I'm sorry to all; you'll love it though.
Peace rock peter (Singmiester) x :bash:

I think the review tried t0o hard to be hip. It should have been more direct. I don't understand the part about the game review turning into a music review. If you are going to be cutesy like that, you better pull it off and make it entertaining. Sorry, did not hook me. I actually like the one track I listened to OK. Just think the review was "off".

Maybe I should include some sort of Moral social message at the end as well?

protein

I liked it. I couldn't use any of it in our literature because it didn't seem like a music review but it was well written and seemed to capture the event pretty well. Maybe you had to be there to apreciate it. Wasn't it aimed at all the comuter game nerds here anyway.

Hey, you could always review on Sunday and include a moral message. "Don't let your daughters near Nills Laagerback."

The Shaker
06-12-2002, 10:48:59
You only liked it 'cos it didn't slate you :D

That's less of a moral message and more of a life-long pledge.

Funkodrom
06-12-2002, 10:57:55
I liked it 'cause it made me laugh.

I did target the humour to a german audience.

No. How about just writing clearly?

How about you write your own review if this one offends you so much. Nobody else complained and nobody else had a problem with it. Maybe you just need to get somebody to explain some of the longer words to you.

Yeah, The Shaker has problems with his brain that don't allow him to think in straight logical patterns like normal people.

The Shaker
06-12-2002, 15:36:54
That is indeed true. I get easily distracted. My publisher should have sorted out details like clarity. :)
