Fate has it I discovered what my long elusive favorite song is and who wrote it.

Another Second Time Around by the Goo Goo Dolls.

This is my absolute favorite song of all ages, propably amongst my personal top 5 ever.

Not a small thing for a band.

I've listened to some more of Goo Goo Doll's songs and they are arlight (nothing very special though - apart from that one phainomenal heartgrasping song).

Still as a gesture of honour for that song I want to PAY for a Goo Goo Doll's CD.

Does anybody here have a suggestion for what should that be?

(I already have Another Second Time Around, so it doesn't necessairily have to be in it)

They're just a poser band aren't they? I just saw some pics :D

Still that one song is amazing to me.

I just haven't heard them.

They're not bad when they stick to straight ahead rock, their slower stuff doesn't do much for me, though. As much as I hate this cliche, I like their earlier stuff best. "There you are" being my personal favorite.

Overall, a not bad, not great band that has some moments of brilliance.

Aparrently go for records Boy named Goo and earlier, very much a husker du, fast Replacements kinda thing. They then got mainstream and popular, oh and rich!

They recorded a nice cover of a Fleetwood Mac song as the b-side to one of their singles once. I think the single was called Iris.

Ok, I've listened to Iris and There you are, didn't do much for me but they certaintly have a punkish layer, fast changing chords gone mainstream. Will go for their earlier staff in my next raid to the CD store. Thanks.
