Aren't you happy when... Phil Spector comes out of retirement again?

Aren't you worried when... He still shows signs of mental illness?

Aren't you terrified when... This in a new turn manifests itself in him picking Starsailor (http://www.worldpop.com/alternative/news/news_story.cfm?id=800) to work with?

Starsailor played a couple of songs with Donovan at Glastonbury. They must have a thing about old guys...

Funkodrom

Which ones are Starsailor? Did they do that alcoholic song?

King_Ghidra

yes

Funkodrom

That is such an annoying song.

"Good souls", on the other hand, is great.

Funkodrom

They've got that on the website, I'll give it a listen.

Funkodrom

It's better, still got that guy's annoying voice.

What? Even me? Who bought the album?

Funkodrom
15-07-2002, 18:52:39
Good question, who did buy it?

Debaser

Definately not me, they suck more than Funky's mum.

The Shaker

I listen to it while i'm with Funky's mum.

Funkodrom

She said you've never got past the intro to the first song.

The Shaker
16-07-2002, 16:29:23
She's that good.

Lazarus and the Gimp
16-07-2002, 19:42:03
I bought the album.

Funkodrom

Why did you ask then?

If they were really "good souls" then they would know when to shut up...

PosterBoy

They don't do it for me

Aren't Starsailor and Oasis having some kind of verbal war?

Stupid publicity stunts

I didn't. The full quote was "What? Even me? Who bought the album?". The second question mark exists only to match speech patterns.

Yes, I know I just have a really crap sense of humour.

I can’t believe Funkodrom didn’t declare 100-0 there.

It didn't seem fair.

What can I say? You do "a bit slow" so very convincingly.

Anyway- I can understand people finding his voice a bit trying. He tries to sing like Tim Buckley, but just can't pull it off. Still, if I can put up with JJ72 I can put up with this.

Thanks, I work hard on it. :D

Why would you buy an album that you only put up with?

The Shaker

Did JJ72 do 'Oxygen'?
I really liked that song.

The JJ72 album has got three killer tracks, and a load of pooh. Fortunately, those three are good enough to justify the album.

Yup. They did "Oxygen". And "October Swimmer".

The singer's voice is the only grating point about Starsailor for me. I think the songs themselves are strong.

The Shaker

The voice is what sold it to me.
Guess I must be weird.

3 kiiler tracks is more than most albums have got nowadays (RHCP)
