See Counterglow article (... when I eventually get around to writing it).

At uni in our first Quantum Physics lecture our lecturer's first words were "Nobody understands Quantum Physics." I didn't bother trying after that.

I know what you mean. Every time I try to learn about this subject, all I find are contradictory arguments and "what if" puzzles. I keep looking for a definitive "basics" text, but there doesn't seem to be one as no one agrees what the "basics" are. Although it's been awhile, so maybe some consensus is beginning to be worked out. I have hopes.

I think you need to really, really understand the Uncertainty Principle before much of the rest of it makes any sense.

Cool! I REALLY understand Uncertainty! I'm uncertain about nearly everything! I'll be an expert! I am a Quantum god!

Mrs RC claims she understands quantum physics having read one book on the subject.:p

Mrs RC claims a lot of things but she wants to discuss with you experts at your earliest convenience. Be warned.

Problem is, Quantum Theory is the basics. You'll have a hard time getting more basic information, without getting more complex information.
