After the England match yesterday I played a fair bit of PES on the PS2, and I was very impressed. The difference between a player like Zidane and Jose Vidigal is marked, Zidane brining the ball down without looking like he was bothered, Vidigal struggling to control it on his second touch.

But I don’t have a PS2. Is PES on the PlayStation as good as the PS2 version (gameplay wise, obviously not graphics) or should I stick with Pro Evo 2?

BTW, the penalty hitting the bar sound is hilarious.

is the real question 'should i buy a ps2'?

i didn't know pes was out for ps1, but i know that pes for ps2 is very very deep and very very good

Yeah, one of my friends has PES on the PS1, he sold his PS2 version to buy something else. He says it's just as good gameplay wise but it's a bit easier to score.

The penalty hitting the bar sound is funny if you aren't the one taking the penalty.

You aren't on commission you know?

Sorry - I'm working on the principle that if I big up the PS2 enough, Sony will catch on and give me a retrospective commission...

In that case it's hillarious.

In a pre-World Cup challenge on Friday night at about 2am Funkodrom's Germany beat Debaser's Brazil 6-0. :D

Debaser still having problems scoring, huh?

i'm surprised he comes back for more very time he gets whipped, is he really enoying himself?

Of course, he keeps getting better every time he plays, aside from occasional shockers like this. He's scoring regularly now and absolutely loves it when he does. You have to learn somewhere.

It was the same with Dave, when he first moved in, on ISS2, at first he was just playing to see if he could score and eventually we were playing reasonably even games most of the time.

That was my principle. Of course I phrased it differently. I'll still think your sucking Sony's collective dick.
