"This game cannot be installed."

I mean really! I knew Steam sucks, but this is enough! :shoot:

I never seem to have trouble with installing/running the games I've bought.

I did have trouble with looking at games and thinking they'd be cool, then realizing (sometimes too late) they're "Early Access".

Kerbal was worth it, but that's the exception.

It sucks. Downloads patches for games I told steam not to update. "Can't connect". You can't play a game while downloading another. Annoying.

I do hate that. If there's no online component to what you're playing, why can't it download in the background?

Doesn't happen to me often so I guess I'm not looking for alternatives.

This is why I don't buy early access games. And I have noted a lot of early access games seem to stay in early access for a long time.

You can, you just have to change the settings to allow for background downloads. You can do this on a per game basis, or by the master settings.

You can also stop most updates in the same panel, although some the developer can push through - those are rare though.

However, you cannot prevent it from downloading updates. Which is unbelievable! I don't need updates for my single-player games!!!

I wish that would be possible. Everytime I start a Steam game my worthless sons start complaining about their pings go down the drain and make me feel guilty.

And it's even more embarrasing that one of the creatures I spawned is the poster above and he can read this and knows how I feel and is taking advantage of it now and his sibling will adopt quickly and I'm doomed!

Offline mode?

If only I wouldn't make the mistake to buy another game with Steam every once in a while...

All of the Victorian Age was crap. The internal combustion engine and elect trinity really improved things.
