How much wood would a woodchuck chuck? If a woodchuck could chuck wood.

We're building a house there (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaver,_Pennsylvania) next year!

Actual beavers did a number on my parent's yard a few years ago, but they've got plenty of trees still. Dad was schmartje and wrapped the base of his favorite trees with roof shingles. Seemed to work. Small price to pay for having a creek run along one side of the property, not to mention having actual beavers to watch.

Is this about the reintroduction of beavers into the wild in the UK?

The successful reintroduction of beavers to parts of the UK has gotten the California government to consider simular reintroductions in this state.

Castoroides, also known as giant beavers, were much larger than modern beavers. Their average length was approximately 1.9 m (6.2 ft), and they could grow as large as 2.2 m (7.2 ft). The weight of the giant beaver could vary from 90 kg (198 lb) 125 kg (276 lb). This makes it the largest known rodent in North America during the Pleistocene and the largest known beaver. :D
