Three feet here - almost a meter! Driveway, sidewalk, and fire hydrant are all cleared.

We had coffee and tea to keep the shovels going, and wine and beer for recovery, all good.

Koshko
24-01-2016, 20:34:02
Isn't it great it occurred in the weekend, which allows it to be cleared without anyone missing any work days? :p

Some missed Friday. Zpapa is still on the job, nobody else can make it into the radio station

I saw many snowblower cost more than $1000. I never knew they were so expensive.

The only downside to working from home is that you work through snowstorms so long as your power/internet stay up. Not really a downside when you're saving seven or eight hours a week of commute time and some gasoline.

zmama
25-01-2016, 23:19:59
Our internet has been cranky, off and on. Zpapa still hasn't made it up our hill.

MOBIUS

Rain, we need more rain.

We got some recently, one of our lakes went from 3% capacity to 3% capacity, according to the website that tracks volume. They had difficulty figuring how much because it was so empty the sensors weren't in the water anymore.

At this point we'd probably be happy to get some of that lead slurry Flint Michigan is drinking.

You're thinking correctly. Just up the road from jsorense, relatively speaking in California terms. So we also got rain on the weekend, enough to stop me mowing my weeds at least.

This morning, the mountains nearby were topped with snow. Must be February.

Koshko

It looks like the next storm will pass to our North, so we should have primarily cold rain here.
