There's a very sweet smell allover the city. I think it comes from the canals.
There are very poor girls here, they have literally no clothes and live in a tiny room with a big window. I figured some knightly guys gave the girls some money to get a hotel room.
I already learned a dutch word, a simple one. It's "Keizersgracht". all you have to do is to learn the "kchk"-like sound of MeXico and an rolling "rrr".
Say "gaysisXrrraXt". And "het spui" is "h'et spöij" ...
Half of the city is owned by a company/guy "to huur" and also "to koop". and the "Smoky" still exists withe the same smell (urgh).

Skiphole! That's the word for airport. Funny dutch.

You also can learn a lot about fellow countrymen, how to spot a german:

Easy! They wear huge plastic hitec backpacks with either a plastic bottle of "DAS DEUTSCHE WASSER" (tm) or a hitec metal canteen.
I'm not talking about some outdoor freaks or classic backpackers here. "Normal" german tourists in Amsterdam. Why the heck do they have a canteen? There's no lack of water in Amsterdam!!! I asked my wife and she said "to prevent dehydration". In Amsterdam?!?!? I think it's the world capital of pubs and restaurants!
And what's in the backpacks? I was carrying around only sunglasses, a map of the city and a photo camera (and no canteen). More refills of "DAS DEUTSCHE WASSER" (tm)? Drugs? Porn? Van Gogh paintings?
