Christchurch is still a mess. Queenstown seems nice.

Mrs. MDA almost stepped on a kiwi last week!

Never been there. Isn't it just a little Australia? :hmm:

More like an antipodal Wales :funko:

I concur. Even Cardiff reminds me of Wellington in a lot of ways.

New Zealanders are terrible people. Unless they're not, in which case they're automatically Australian. It's in the rules, go look it up.

Everyone's been very nice. They said all the terrible ones were encouraged to move to "the country that shall not be named". Was strange, I thought they were more LOTR types than Harry Potter.

I even made a "water weta" pun, and no one punched me.

Kiwis are great.

It was pointed out on our bicycle tour (complete with DUTCH people) - all the underground infrastructure was trashed, not just the buildings... And the ground still isn't settled as much as they'd like. Add insurance companies and politicians and it only gets worse for Christchurch.

I'm going to go ahead and admit liking Auckland and Wellington better. Christchurch seems like a busy city under heavy construction during the day, but it empties out after five, with most shops and restaurants closed. Staying on the outskirts would probably have been smarter than the red zone :bash:

Rotorua today!

Sounds like it's changed a lot, very sad.

Wellington was great. Never stopped raining.

Today we flew into a volcano in a helicopter!

Also, Hobbiton.

Did you hold your nose in Rotorua?

It doesn't help...;)

There's a place there called the Aggrodome - it's about sheep!:)

Instead of a garden he lives in a used car lot?
