Gathered from beloved person who visited:

1. How come you also live on the ground floor and your appartments have only glasses and no shades. Why do they have only glasses? Aren't you afraid someone would break in?

2. How come if an old house is about to fall the government forces the owner to fix it (with his own money) or the house will be confiscated in one year time? What happens if you don't have the money?

3. How come there no foreigners in many of amsterdam's neighborhoods? I though the city was 60% foreign occupied?

4. How come you work whenever it pleases you? The stores seem to open whenever they fancy, for few hours.

5. VERY IMPORTANT: where are the cars? Why are there no cars on the streets? Where is the smog and traffic and cars parked on top of pavements? This cleaneless is unacceptable.

6. Why do bycicles have priority over pedestrians?

7. Why are there so many american tourists?

8. I thought coffeeshops were phased out. Apparently they are not.

9. Why are you such jolly happy fellows?

There are so many American tourists for the same reason any other person visits there ... pot and hookers.

1. shades? we want sun, no not afraid
2. this is only in some parts of the city, reason is to stop degradations, they get a fee
3. only city center is flud by tourists, Amsterdam city center is a zoo and a museum i hate it.
4. not true, those stores are probably for money laundry
5. car parks parking etc. every new house/appartment needs to have 1.6 parkingspace on own grouns
6. because they can overrun ppl by foot
7. because they still think Amsterdam is sodom and gomorra (stjoepid americanos)
8. you thought wrong

I liked Amsterdam 'cause it was cute and had the best cheese sandwich. Even the naughty bits were cute after the Reeperbahn.

I am counting that question as 11.

12. Are there any Dutch vegetarian restaurants in Amsterdam or am I going to have to eat Indian again? [this one is a real question - I wind up there in two weeks]

But like the more helpful zmama's link said, it's standard for restaurants to have a couple of vegetarian meals on the menu as well.
