Fuckwit move of the day: I got up to start the smoker, and wet down the deck around it for, you know, fire safety. Water froze. Fire safety inderdeed. :bash:

Maybe I should buy a couple more cement board pads so I don't have to worry about that.

Oooh smoker! Are you cooking for the z family too? :D

Here it's 10am and the ground is still white with frost, dog was not amused.

A chicken and a rack of ribs. I had to get things going so Mrs. MDA and I can go out for birthday lunch in beautiful downtown Frederick.

We thawed by 7:30ish.

The chicken is done already, I'll transfer the ribs to the oven right before we leave.

Yesterday the fields around my house were completely frosted, and remained that way until nearly mid morning. It was glorious.

It is good when the things that make pollen die.

Year round pollen sounds miserable.

Yes, it is true. I suffer through the warm sunshine, palm trees, flowers, flowers, flowering shrubs and, oh yes, flowers, all year long. :bouncmsk:

It is good when the things that make pollen die.

The pollen season ends just as the dust in the vents season begins.

We had something the news was calling an "atlantic mega-storm"

Turned out to be a meh-ga-storm.

Woooo hoo! It is actually raining tonight. The first significant rainfall since March! Maybe our town won't burn down this year. :bounce:
